That seals it. 130% of Marquez' numbers. I don't know what you guys are crying about. Sure, Marquez countered well, that's what he does but Pacquiao still hit and landed more. And Pacquiao doesn't even look hurt outside of that cut from the headbutt. Marquez' right eye looks like the Thing's.
Manny really hasn't never been the same since the Margarito fight. Manny should have never taken that fight. It took A LOT out of him. He'll probably never be the same fighter again. Honestly Pac-man reminds me a lot of Sugar Shane nowadays. Shane still has speed, but he is too careful and doesn't have the killer instinct he once had. Pac is the same way now.
true but Marquez did come and fight. You can't just score a fight based on breaking punches into two categories of power and jabs. Marquez absolutely landed the cleaner shots. You have to see who controls the pacing. I have the fight on DVR and if you look at it round by round Pacquiao just couldn't land a clean shot. Marquez even though he throw less punches landed a couple good shots that snapped pacquiaos head back. Also he had the combos/counters. Pacquiao definitely did not look like his normal self and if he has trouble with Marquez's counter punching style he will definitely have trouble with Mayweather. This fight probably gave Mayweather a lot more confidence. I predict that fight pacquaio will have the same issues of trying to get in and land a punch but cant. Well I'm still a huge Pacman fan and I'm rooting for him all the way but he definitely looks like he should hang it up soon to protect his legacy.
Yeah. 436/254 isn't fighting. This ain't the amateurs. It's not about quantity. JMM had quality counters all fight with enough quality aggression to win. Now I don't think anyone thinks Manny got blown out of the water but you fanboys are unbelievable.
He's not the same fighter because he's told not to be that kind of a careless aggressive fighter. If he keep on fighting like he use to fight he's going to get knock out sooner or later. Any aggressive fighter who goes toe to toe with Manny is lose. Marquez fought a smart fight to go the distant and not get knock down again. Look at all the fighters who try to go head to head against Manny and paid for it.
Then you must hate Mayweather then. "that's boxing" as they say. You try to score points with punches and try to avoid getting punches. I didn't think Manny won by a landslide but he did win even if by a hair. A punch that hits you in the face clean and a punch that hits you in the face and knocks your head back are scored the same. It's defenitly not quality over quantity in boxing. Mayweather proves that.
Even Pacquiao knew he had lost when the fight ended, going to his corner, with the head down, and he looks surprised when they said he won. Pacquiao looked desperate in the final rounds, because he thought he was losing.

Just cause Marquez doesn't go out swinging like a mad man doesn't mean he didn't landed solid hits. I couldn't keep count of how many times the commentators said Manny landed a punch when in fact it was either blocked or a missed punch. He's is so quick he fools everyone to think he actually landed the swing. Either way it was a great fight both fighters gave it their all too bad two of the judges were too busy slobbering over Manny.
