Yao prefers Shanghai cuisines I know he does not like PF Changs and prefers his moms cooking. BBQ from Tony Roma's was were he met with a reporter for a dinner interview and he really does not like it that much he will eat it but its secondary on his things that he likes list. He told me one of his favorite dishes is a Shanghai styled shrimp dish. He plays some sports games but his favorite are airplane sims, 1st person shooters, and other actions games.

Nah, LA is the town for authentic Chinese food outside China. Come to Monterey Park, I will show you around for the food tour.

Who are you? You know Yao Ming personally? More inside stories please.
Shanghai style shrimp. You mean fried shrim with oil. Yummy... JianAn hotel, I still remember it, good old Shanghai...

I'm guessing that Yao won't find very much authentic Shanghai-style food in Houston. He'll either need to learn to like Cantonese (maybe he already does), or go for barbecue, ribs, Italian, Tex-Mex, etc.

That was neat to see. I have to say though they will continue to be easy to spot in the crowd until there are more people there. It was not hard to spot the two rather large Chinese people amongst the 800 people (I know they said 8,000, but it sure as hell did not look like it to me).
