If anything, this reinforces the fact that Shaq was a freak. To do the things he was able to do at a weight that was 25-50lbs (the pre "Snaq" era) heavier than Dwight is insane.

Right. Drastically different than a 12 foot goal. 13 feet is the top of the backboard. He is half a foot away from that, which is a significant difference. And yeah, this wasn't a standing vertical (though still impressive).

Also, until I see a video of him actually doing it, James White can't touch the top of a backboard either.

 

I don't think Dwight is actually 6'11". He is more like 6'10" tall.

 

James white is the closest I've ever seen. He's just a couple of inches away.

Nobody has a sense of humor? This may be mean for those short-armed people of the world but very true. This guy's arms look like it would give him trouble in the shower. Not only is it difficult for this man to comfortably shampoos but digging his own @$$ would be next too impossible with out the proper prosthesis or tools.

I read somewhere that Hakeem could grab and hang from the top of the backboard in college. I think it was a Drexler interview or something, I guess they could have been exaggerating.
