It looks like Dom Kinnear is toying with the idea of changing up the formation to adapt to KC's attack. I can understand his concern, but changing the formation is risky business.

If it works, the coach obviously looks like a genius. But if it doesn't work, you open yourself up to questions about why you would change something that has worked so well over the last couple of months and you risk alienating your players. Right or wrong, changing formation can sometimes be seen as a lack of trust in your players to get the job done on their own. It looked like that happened to the Philadelphia Union in the series against the Dynamo.

Anyhow, here's the story about the possible change on MLSSoccer.com:

If you remember, Dom changed the formation to a 2-5-3 in the cup final one year and it paid off, it was recently named in the top 50 moments of MLS, being called the greatest tactical adjustment in cup finals history.

How are the Dynamo going to get the football lines off in the new stadium? TSU is going to be playing its football games there, so we might still have the lines. Hopefully it doesn't look as bad as the field at Robertson

They're not going to be as significant as they are at UH with all the paint. I doubt TSU will have any paint on the field.

Check this video, you barely see any lines right now.

I hope that's the case. I was just thinking about this the other day. It would be a real bummer if the Dynamo had to deal with football lines in a stadium where they are the main tenant.

Any links or online streaming available? This game starts 4:30 pm and is on Fox Soccer Channel.

And that's really been their only chance. Sporting has dictated the pace early on. They have come out looking to attack, which is no surprise. The Dynamo have been up to the task defensively so far, but if they continue to get chances like they have, you have to figure they will find the back of the net.

EDIT: As a type, Jimmy Nielsen makes a great save on a Calen Carr strike. Out of frustration, Carr commits a foul and gets booked with a yellow for an aggressive challenge.

Carr you are worthless, really. Hated you on the fire and I hate you here.

Even your cheap winning goal last week doesn't excuse it.

Is it wrong of me to have a more negative feeling towards Carr because of the helmet he wears on the field? I realize that he does it to prevent further concussions and I certainly empathize with those that have had concussions, as they nothing to be taken lightly, but it looks so silly.

I've grown to really like Andre Hainault. He's an instigator that knows how to force other teams into silly fouls. If he was on any other team, I'd hate him, but he's not.

Having a guy like him that can draw a foul is a huge deal when you have a guy like Brad Davis on your team that excels at set pieces.

Oh boy. Not good. Brad Davis is lying in a heap, needing medical attention. He got taken out on a challenge, his cleat got stuck and his ankle rolled up under him. He's headed out of the game.

    Jermaine Taylor is coming on.

Allen Hopkins, the sideline guy for Fox Soccer, just said that they don't know much about his injury and he has been taken back to be evaluated.

He gave us the stat that Davis has had a hand in about 40% of the Dynamo's goals. My vote is to now just try to set up 35-yard strikes for Adam Moffat. That seemed to be the next best thing late in the season.

I didn't see what happened to davis.

He's the best player on the field.

Speaking of Moffat, it looks like he is the one that will take the set pieces in Davis' absence. He just took the team's first corner.

I'm relieved that the Dynamo were able to make it to halftime at 0-0. At least now they can make some more concrete adjustments for trying to replace Davis rather than doing so on the fly as they were forced to do late in the half.
