I think it happened. Put me down for $10 on the conversation being legitimate. HP, you like starting these kind of bets. The loser just puts $10 in the Clutchcity donation pot.

Hard to believe Shaq has more class than HP can give credit to ANYBODY for? :p

It is in the article. Now I don't know if he made it up, but the reporter, Yangyi is the one who travels with Rockets and Yao Ming.

Yanghi is traveling with the Rockets? And was that his piece...the link hasn't been working for awhile.

btw: this disbelief isn't about Shaq's class, just that it is a little bit too dramatic for Shaq, imo, to wait outside a bus unless it was by chance.

He could have met after the game on the court, in the tunnel, or gone to the lockerroom.

Say what you want about Shaq, he is a classy guy from a good family. Most of the egotistical things he says I think he just does to get a rise out of the media. Plus Shaq has been quoted as saying Hakeem is his idol, he has nothing but pure respect for Dream (probably BECAUSE of the conversation they had after the 95 Finals).

That said, I don't see him waiting by the bus for ANYONE after a home game. Didn't happen.

I agree. Shaq is a pretty classy guy. The media tries to stir things up with him all the time, so sometimes he just gives them what they want. Shaq knows how tough it is for Yao right now. He also knows true talent when he sees it. Looking forward to many years of Yao vs. Shaq.

Yeah...Shaq admits that he says that stuff so the reporters can sell papers. It's Charles Barkley with a different type of humor...

It's a feel-good piece, but I'm wondering if it's true or not as well.
