How come everybody says how good Cuttino Mobley is and he was a number 41 pick in the 1998 NBA draft But nobody ever mentions how Shandon Anderson was a number 54 pick in the 1996 NBA draft. Shandon Anderson can play defense has good offense and he can drive. Cuttino Mobley is a go-to guy who has a little more offense than Shandon Anderson but Shandon Anderson is much more well-rounded than Cuttino Mobley. How come nobody mentions the fact that Shandon Anderson was a 54th pick and how good he is? ------------------
Exactly my point. Great post. I love Shandon. In related news, the number to Judge Robert Eckels office is 713 755 4000. CBFC ------------------
DJ -- probably because we were the ones that picked Cuttino .... while the Jazz scooped up Anderson (and 3 years later when they weren't looking... yoink!) Of course no one mentions we drafted Terrell Bell before Shandon. Wee-haw ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
Shandon has also logged a lot more minutes in the league than Cuttino....he should be more well rounded. True, not a lot of late picks like that make it at all, however. ------------------ HOOP-T ------------------
Cat and Shandon are two different kind of players that happen to play the same position, SG. IMO, Shandon is the better fit for the Rockets. Shandon is the perfect complement to a scoring PG. To me its so hard to find a good sized SG that has all the right "extras" a good SG needs. 1) Size, 6-7 2) Defense, 1.2s 3) Shooting, 77%,47.3%, 35.1% 4) Can pass, 2nd to Franchise in ast 5) Can light it up when needed, 14x20+, 4x30+ 6) Everything that doesn't show in the box score Plus, I look at Anderson's inprovement all season. His stats in March & April are great. FG% 3P% PTS AST REB March 52.4 45.3 15.0 3.3 4.4 April 50.8 34.1 17.9 3.3 5.8 Here ther best part, we have BOTH. Go Rocks ------------------ "Chucky who? Terrell Bell is going to be something in this league one day. you just watch. He has such a sweet shot. ------------------ "Win the game, baby!" -Rudy T in the fourth quarter of game 4 of the 1995 NBA Finals
