Need to get a business credit card and was originally interested in the Continental/United OnePass card but saw it has a $395 annual fee. Any cardholders think its worth the fee?

    Also looking at:
Southwest Business Card ($69 or $99 annual fee)
Starwood Preferred Guest Business Card ($65 annual fee - AmEx card)

Any tips/advice? Any non-miles cards worth looking at?

Also, just a general question - I wont really have that many business transactions on the credit card, so the plan is to use it for all of my expenses and just reimburse what I do use it from the business side. Any flaws to this plan?

    Thanks in advance.

Aren't there different levels of that Continental/United card? I thought there was a premium and then a regular, and the regular only had a $95 fee.

I don't use one, but the platinum american express gets you into most lounges.

Not anymore. The chase presidential plus replaces that. I got 1st year free ( they were giving them away in presidents club), will decide if worth it next year.

I was able to get 75,000 miles for signing up for the Amex Business Gold card, as long as I spent 10,000 in 3 months.

If you want the lounge benefits and more, go for the Business Platinum card. The annual fee is much higher though.

When you say all your charges, do you mean both your business and personal? If that's your plan, I wouldn't do it. It will be a headache for you to separate the expenses.

Yes, I want to use for both business and personal in order to rack up points/miles and because I won't be 'charging' that much for business. Is the only 'headache' to separate the expenses? Is there any other reason (legal? taxes?) not to do this?

For my business I will only have a few major charges a year which should be easily tracked - so my plan is to reimburse myself when those major charges are made and pay the bill via my personal account.

Any flaws to this plan? Thanks for the response wakkoman.

I'm not sure about legal issues, but that might depend on how your business is structured.

I personally like to keep everything clean and separate. It helps me when I'm doing my taxes, and in case of an audit, my records are in good order and easy to follow.

The United card that is $395 is the President or Blue Carpet cards that allow lounge access. The regular United Plus or Continental Plus card should be closer to $80 or something like that.

United/Continental have cut off their relationship with AMEX, so I ditched my Plat. Amex for the Pres. Plus Continental Card (soon to be United Blue Carpet Card).

In Houston, you are basically stuck with United since it is the major hub.
