Let's not derail the thread for the kids that have a whiny little fascination with idiots that can run and dunk a basketball.

    ;)

McGrady was as skinny as Durant when he came in the league, if Durant could bulk up to McGrady's mass when he was in his prime then he'd be absolutely unstoppable.

He needs a post game though, and some work on court vision. But the rest of his game is absolutely solid.

He has bulked up some, but he may never be that big guy, maybe he is more the George Gervin type.

Muscles are overated in basketball, quickness and skills are more important especially at the guards and small forward spots.

Well of course I don't, not anymore, I am older now....but for you, who never had any to begin with, I am sorry you don't know what it is like to win the college flag football tournament as the QB and coach, I am sorry that you don't know what it is like to start at CB and WR at football, or PG in basketball.

I am sorry that you will never know the touch of 1000 women pining over you in college.....I am sorry that you will never get to the "C" level of business.

It is ok, us 1%ers need ditch diggers like you too.

No he wasn't. Yes, McGrady was skinny coming into the NBA, but he wasn't the stick-figure KD was. KD was ridiculed because he couldn't even bench-press 185 lbs ONE time at the combine.

He will never bulk up to McGrady's thickness because his body type is different. In that sense, KD's example is KG, who was a walking skeleton as a rookie.

See that whole couldn't bench press thing was funny, Red Aurebach used to laugh at guys that bulked up, speed and quickness is far more important in basketball.

Predraft measures, McGrady weighed 212, Durant 215

McGrady was a lot skinnier than most people thought when he was in Toronto.

In reality, KD is also 2-3 inches taller than McGrady. 6'9 without shoes compared to 6'6-6'7.

That's so awesome. randomly tweeting a fan on twitter to play football. It could have been anybody, yet he goes out and plays anyway. Just a normal guy, born talented.

Yup, so Durant is 2 inches taller and 3 pounds heavier than McGrady. So proportion wise McGrady is only slightly heavier.

Still, McGrady did bulk up really quickly in comparison to Durant.

I wonder if that contributed to McGrady's balky knee problem?

He probably got a little too big.

Is that is TMac as a rookie? If it is... then a rookie straight out of highschool had arms comparable to KD, who went to Texas for a year and had several years in the league.

*hint KD was a rookie in Seattle.

Some people need college degrees, some people don't.
Tracy wasn't smart, but he didn't say too many completely r****ded things... like LeBron.
