Exactly. I think what Kevin Martin heard was Morey calling the players objects, things, expendables, trade chips, etc.

This is the least excited I've ever been about a Rockets team.

My excitement level for this team - same as when I watched the 1999-2004 Rockets.

Looks like we're heading that way unless we get a decent center in FA.

    Here is a Rocket player.

I have always wanted Blakely as a Rocket. He may not be for too much longer.

Well, this is a thread asking whether or not you're excited about the Rockets. I wouldn't have bothered giving my opinion otherwise. Should I have lied about it?

I agree with that. I believe that next season all the "09 busts" could finally turn around. Twill, i believe has seen the error of his ways and will finally show his true talent. Hill has been said by fellow rockets to have "stood out the most of the rockets" by Patterson and Twill i think. Flynn just needed a change in scenerie and was hurt alot. Only one i question is thabeet, but he hasn't seen alot of minutes so i hope he's practicing/training during the lockout.

Thank you. Another beleiver. Finally!;) The thing with all of these players mentioned, with exception to Patterson, were loaded with certain expectations that they didn't meet right away and currently have been cast to the side. IMO, the '09 draft was equal to the '10 draft as far as excitement and talent. The difference is, for whatever reason, these '09 players have not been getting the playing time they need.

Had I known that the fuhrer was going to be exiled, I would have gotten aboard the "TANK" tank. It's difficult to see what the future holds for us.

This will be the year of the 09 draft busts. If 2 or more of these guys work out to be quality players then the future might look pretty good. Even if none of these guys pan out then your looking at 4 or 5 open roster spots for the 2012 season and a fresh start to a franchise that can truely rebuild from the bottom with draft picks and free agents.

With this being the first true post Yao Ming season, I expect to see a youth movement in Houston going forward, lets just hope its more OKC Thunder than Sac. Kings youth movement. With the amount of young potential they have on the team "SOMEONE" is bound to step up and become the man for this team.

So, yes I would be excited if this lockout mess ever gets resolved in time to have a season.

I'm excited to see if Lowry can break into the top 5 PGs. I'm excited to see Patterson's progression, especially under McHale. I'm excited to see how Morris translates his game to the NBA, and if he can be that "go-to guy" we still need. I'm excited to see Morey's wheeling and dealing, and if he can bring us to the next level finally.

If the only thing that gets you excited to watch basketball is the prospects of winning a championship, then I guess there isn't much to look forward to this year. Although that is certainly something important to me, I do enjoy the journey to get there as well.

When the lockout is over, I will get back to the Rockets etc.

I want to watch some hoop for sure, and want to see how some of the guys develop, and how Morey shapes the rosters, but right now, I want the owners and players to make a deal that keeps the league around and solvent for a very long time.

    I don't know...

Last season, I was without FSN, so I didn't watch many games (not that I was missing out). The way our team is currently built, we're going no where fast. We're not going to sign and/or trade for any that will bring us to the playoffs.

I hate the idea of tanking, but with a short season and a bunch of elite candidates (gimme Barnes), is it really the worst idea in the world? Top 5 draft picks are worth building a team around. Only time we've been contenders is when we get a #1 pick. Lets trash this season, get a top 3 pick, trade for a couple other first round picks, and prepare for the next decade. That's the only way we'll have a watchable team in the next few years.

Honestly, this upcoming season (when we have it) is the only time I'm on board for tanking. We already know that it will be a shortened season and if we were to tank say 50 or so games for a top 10 pick and with nyk's pick the rebuilding process may be complete if this draft is as good as what people are saying it is.

I will temper my excitement until I see the roster that Morey puts on the floor....right now I think it is a work in progress waiting on the Amnesty fall out...

It's looking more like a 50 game season every day, which makes tanking even more tempting. Going 10-40 is a fair price to pay for a top five pick, and I'm hoping that Les agrees with me.

I think we should petition this move.
