Got mine last week too. Its pretty awesome. Still lacks a lot of features but nice to have all of my music on the cloud.
Are you limited in the number of songs you can have on the cloud? I uploading now and wonder if all of my songs in my itunes library are on their way ... to the cloud.
Limit is currently at 20,000 Had mine for 2 weeks so far and love it so far, I hope there is more apps that will be created to support playing your music from Google's cloud
If anyone is curious, here is a short article comparing Google Music vs. Amazon Cloud. Google Music Beta vs. Amazon Cloud Storage
I requested an invite within minutes of the announcement, and I still haven't got mine I'm with Dave - the app itself doesn't look that great, but the service is what I'm interested in.
I like Amazon's a little better. Having any music you purchase through Amazon automatically load into it is great, as is being able to re-download to any device.
I still prefer the audio quality of CDs. They just sound no much nicer, cleaner and fuller in my sound system, compared to compressed MP3s.
Well to be fair, it's is a little more than just a backup. The ability to sync wherever, seamlessly across multiple devices and applications. Streaming. The convenience. Its is much more than a backup image stored online somewhere.
Anyone else using this service? I'm enjoying it so far except for some of the free music they give you, but they are easily deleted. Having everything backed up in the cloud is nice.
I've used it and loved since launch. Silly me just figured out about a month ago I could also listen to this music on my Android phone and it sounds just as good as my iPod.
I signed up for Google Music beta, and received an invite the following day... haven't tested it though, I feel kinda guilty
I also have a magnitude of invites to send out if necessary. For you iOS guys, the HTML 5 works pretty well for streaming on Google Music. It comes in handy for me all the time, especially how it caches the songs for offline use. However, for you Android users, if you want to stream alot of songs, try "Dood's Music Streamer" It actually streams from Grooveshark, for free lol
I just sent you a visitor message not sure if that's the same as a PM... But I'd appreciate an invite if you can!
