I didn't see more about it but the blurb on the front page, but it seems Toronto has lost interest in signing Taylor and is turning its interests to Mark Jackson. It didn't make much sense for him to go to Toronto anyway with their group of power forwards. I guess it really is down to Houston and Seattle. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Thats good because it will help him make his decision. Signing him to the mid-level for one year would be worth it. ------------------ Don't you have anything better to do?
Didn't he say that he was going to sign with Orlando for the exception? When did Houston and Seattle get into the mix?
Thats a good question. I thought if he was going to sign with anyone for the exception it was definitely going to be Orlando. That was a couple of weeks ago though. With Orlando possibly in the running, I would say he has in order of preference as Orlando Houston Seattle With us being a close 2nd as we will have money to give him next year IF he plays like hes worth it. On a side note, if this signing does go down, has anyone else noticed the type of players Rudy is surrounding Steve with. All of them, Shandon, Cuttino, possibly Taylor, possibly Cato are players that arent SUPERstars, but really get you excited and are the type who would (and have this summer) been offered rather hefty paydays by other teams. ------------------ Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women!
Orlando doesn't have an exception. Teams that were under the cap don't get trade exceptions. ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
Prophet, Where have you been? Taylor committed to Orlando about 3 weeks ago, only to later realize they had no money left. Then, he committed to Toronto for 3 years at 18 million. However, his agent David Falk advised against the deal so he turned it downa nd Toronto is out of the mix. Apparently now Taylor is interested in signing for one year at the 2.25M exception and getting a much bigger salary next offseason than he would have now. His only two choices are Houston and Seattle at this point. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net Sign Mo Taylor. Bench Kenny Thomas. NIKE, I think he's talking about the $2.5M ------------------ I've posted so much that what I say must be true.
Oops, hehe, substitute "mid-level exception" for "trade exception". (Teams under the cap don't get mid-level (2.25) exceptions) ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
