I just wanted to point out that of the three losses that everyone is crying about have come against:

Indy - The number 1 team in the East right now. They are 8 - 1.

Seattle - The number 2 team in the West right now. They are 7 - 2.

Phoenix - The number 3 team in the West right now. They are 5 - 3.

Indy and Seattle are playing outstanding ball right now and both have a cast of players with play off experience and Championship experience.

Phoenix has too much experienced talent to say that they were not a quality opponent. Especially on the road.

Of course Denver, Toronto and G.S. were essentially easy wins but Toronto is a .500 team and did make their play-off run last year with out Vince Carter so that is still a quality win.

Portland was most definitely a quality win against a team that is currently number 8 in the west.

I just wanted to add a little perspective to our record since I have read so many complain that we have beaten on one and we should have won the games that we lost.

    Hey Crash...

Nice observation about the losses and who they are against. But I think most people on the board are upset on how we lost the game.

If you go back and look at those games, we were out played as a team. Both Seattle and Phoenix put on a clinic on how to pass the ball and play as a team. Barkley had a great point when he said, "I don't want to see ,y point guard scoring 30 points a night." He's right I would rather see Steve with 20 points and 10 to 15 assists a night... If the rockets would pass the ball and play as a team, I guarantee you they would win at least 30% more games.

Now if you guys want to take this as a bash go ahead...

But the truth is that this team needs to change their atttitude and it has to start from the top..

No this team needs to grow, and people need to give them time to do that, not want to start firing and trading people have 7 games.

    sooooo funny,

that even in a great thread like this, a thread that states FACTS about what we have done as a team, there are still fools out there who have to say, "...yeah, but..."

i just wish i could go to a game too, but i will have to wait till they play the nicks or tha nets.

And yet we controlled the Phoenix game and lead going into the last 12 seconds of the game. The only thing that saved the Suns was the fact that an 85% free throw shooter missed two free throws. The superior passing by Pheonix did not win the game. With Pheonix producing a superior passing game you would have thought that they would have dominated us on a night that we were with out our starting center and our two top scorers were both having an off night.

Why does everyone bash Steve and Rudy T's system because the point guard does not get 10 assists a game? It looks to me like Rudy T is trying to make the whole team responsible for assists not just the point guard. Do you have a problem with the fact that Mike Bibby only averaged about 5 assists a game last year? Of course not because assists are a team function in Sac not a point guard function.

It is important for the players to be used to playing together for the 5-man offense to work. It requires that all the players on the floor be familure with each other. If the system works perfect then Steve will probably not have 10 assists a game. Instead several players on the team should have 3, 4 or 5 assists a game.

Give the system some damn time! We are 7 games into the season and have the 6 best record in the West so stop the damn complaining!

Yeah I know. Some people will never be happy unless we play Globetrotter style basketball and blow everyone out by 30 points.

I can see it now. The Rockets win the NBA title and people will complain that we need to trade Franchise because he only gets 5 to 6 assists a game.

Seriously, try to be realistic. When was the last time anyone did that? Unless Steve changes his name to Oscar...it is never going to happen. I am just responding to 20 and 10, by the way...20 and 15 is beyond fantasy.

I am not upset about our losses, because of who they are, i am just a little upset about how we lost to Phenoix.
They won the game against us with a drive and a layin. I was wondering...WHY did the Rockets jack up a three? they should have driven, could have gotten a foul or shorter shot. we didnt need a three. i wa upset about that, how they settled for the three.
