If we stumble into the playoffs thanks to a ****ty division, that's all the justification McNair will need to keep things the way they are.

I guess Uncle Bob prefers Battle Fighting to Battle Winning.

Did anybody else notice any play action passes other than the TD pass to Jacoby? I don't remember any.

I know some of Schaub's naked bootlegs have gotten snuffed out on past weeks, but you can still run without rolling out. And I know our running game isn't as good as it has been, but PA worked all season 2 years ago when Slaton was sucking as our main back. I'm just wondering why it seems like we've stopped running PA.

    @ TEN
    vs JAX
    vs CLE
    @ TB
    @ JAX
    vs ATL

To maintain our 5-7 tradition, we need to go 2-4 over this next stretch... come on battlefighters, we know you can do it!

That's doable. Lose the road games + ATL and there you are.

Disappointing loss but really no surprise. They're 3-3 with a manageable schedule ahead.

It's not that they lost - 95% of us had this marked as an L - it's how they lose. Yet again we cough up a lead with the offense going dormant.

I can't stand it, year after year, watching a bunch of gutless weak-willed **** out of them. Watching Schaub get paler and paler as the game gets close late. Watching Kubiak go to a dart board for playcalling (screen pass down two scores with 4 mins to go????).

A team takes on the persona of its coach, and Kubiak is a pansy that can't take the heat.

Only thing this team has been good for is excuses.

Defense did a great job keeping us in it, forcing TDs into FGs, and there went the offense again, turning out the lights a quarter early.

I'm sick of hearing about how it doesn't matter how we get into the playoffs. Yes, it ****ing does. I want to see them quit being the pansy weak sisters and grow a pair. Getting smacked hard out of the first round won't change that, and we'll go right back to mediocre hell once the rest of the division is no longer collectively taking a year off.

I can't believe how there's somehow more diehard apologists this year. The offense is given the competent D we were crying for and that somehow makes them worse? Just like Foster giving us an incredible weapon on the ground last year took some steam out of Schaub?

    Enough with the damn excuses.

Schaub needs to get his crap together.

Seriously even if we eek into the playoffs by being the default winner of the AFC South, this team has nothing to build on to that after we get summarily ousted in the first playoff game. The sooner we free fall the sooner the changes up top will happen, and I think McNair is bright enough to notice Wade's HC resume is evidence enough to not promote him. Maybe he'll let the new HC to decide to keep Wade as DC.

    Kubiak post-game presser:

Quick summary: Give the Ravens credit. They made plays, we didnt. Gotta go back and look at the film John

-(On not running the ball well the past 2 weeks): Havent ran well the last 2 weeks, you're right. 24 carries for 90 something yards. Tough team to run on. You gotta keep pounding. We kept battlin'. You're right, we're not running well.

-We were right there in the game. 19-14 against that team, thats a good position to be in. Credit to them. They made the plays. We had opportunities.

-We gotta line-up and get a yard. The way we're running, I'm disappointed. We will stay aggressive. Give Ravens credit.

-They made big plays. We wasted 2 timeouts that hurt us. They put us away.

-(on the 2 wasted timeouts)Personnel issue one time, formation issue another. Cant waste timeouts on stuff like that.

-They made some great throws. Went and got a couple of deep balls on us. We gave up some big plays although did hold them to some FGs.

-You gotta battle with that team toe to toe. I liked our approach and the type of game we were in. 10 mins left in the game, we quit making plays and they started.

-I gotta make calls, coaches gotta do better, players gotta make the plays. In crunch time, they made plays and we didnt.

-We didnt get Jacoby the ball last week. He didnt play bad last week. Dont know where that came from. He played this week like I expected.
