With all the bashing going on and people being unhappy with some of the players on the Rockets I thought of a game to see what other people whould like to see our roster look like, this is what I would do if I was the Rockets GM.

    Houston trades
    Kenny Thomas
    Terence Morris

    Memphis trades
    Pau Gasol

    Trade accepted

    My next move

    Houston trades
    Glen Rice
    Moocie Norris

    New York trades
    Latrell Sprewell

    My new roster

    Starting 5

    C-Cato
    PF-Taylor
    SF-Gasol
    SG-Sprewell
    PG-Francis

    Bench

    Yao
    Mobley
    Griffin
    Collier
    Nachbar
    Hawkins
    Maddox

I would do the Gasol trade in a heartbeat. Not sure if the Grizz would be that dumb, specially with West making the decisions.

    This trade works.....

Houston trades: SG Cuttino Mobley (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.4 minutes)

Houston receives: SF Corey Maggette (14.2 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.8 minutes)
PF Chris Wilcox (2.4 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.2 apg in 7.2 minutes)
SG Quentin Richardson (7.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.0 apg in 20.8 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +4.7 ppg, +6.2 rpg, and -0.1 apg.

Reason: Cuttino is a straight up over average player, and has great skills. I love the cat but he can take crazy shots at times. I traded the cat for Wilcox and Corey and Q cuz i like the 2 SG's
:D and wilcox is a rough player who can BoX OUT and grab the offensive boards. we receive 3 players and traded 1. I would drop Collier and Mickeal. Wilcox can play Center when he matured enough, but i would play him as a PF for now. Strong dept.

Projected to turn out in 4 years if possible.

    Yao/Cato/Wilcox
    Griff/Taylor/Morris
    Nachbar/Thomas/Rice??
    Quentin Richardson/Hawk/Corey Maggette/
    Francis/Moochie/Maddox

LOL rezdawg, that team would be great but we'd still run iso, no doubt about it.

All realistic sort of trade, KT and Moochie for Horry, he would've hit that shot last night, and we can in my mind get rid of two players that just doesn't fit with this team.

If I were the GM I would not trade anyone because no bonehead would except any of these trades and then I'd join the F.A.R.T.S.

If I was the Rockets GM I wouldn't piss off my fellow GMs by offering trades like these.

    85,

You don't have to apologize. Bullies are only that, bullies. Wait a minute, entering the season, this team was said to be the deepest ever. I agree totally. What everyone is missing is that the current GM and coach are still lost. We can bring in great players, but if they are not taught to reach the next level, it is all for naught. SF and CM court sense has not increased one iota. Court sense is gained from a coaching staff that corrects the mistakes that you make earlier in your career. Your thread should be "Let's trade Rudy and the GM"! We would find no takers! The NBA teams would be stuck with RT&CD!

Okay for fun. I was impressed by the way Penny played in Phoenix. He's big, so moving Francis to the 2 so Penny could run the point would make sense. Penny could guard opposing 2's. Penny was actually benched last year but won the job back in preseason.

Houston trades: SG Cuttino Mobley (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.4 minutes)
SF Glen Rice (5.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.8 apg in 21.5 minutes)
Houston receives: SG Anfernee Hardaway (11.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.3 apg in 31.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -14.2 ppg, +0.7 rpg, and +1.5 apg.

Phoenix trades: SG Anfernee Hardaway (11.0 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.3 apg in 31.9 minutes)
Phoenix receives: SG Cuttino Mobley (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 7 games)
SF Glen Rice (5.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 0.8 apg in 4 games)
Change in team outlook: +14.2 ppg, -0.7 rpg, and -1.5 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Houston and Phoenix being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Houston and Phoenix had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Here's another one in a similar vein. Some people were asking in another thread "would you trade Cuttino for Jalen Rose?"

Here's one option salarywise (by the way does CD know about this thingy?):

Chicago trades: SG Jalen Rose (21.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.3 apg in 36.9 minutes)
Chicago receives: SG Cuttino Mobley (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.4 minutes)
SG Terence Morris (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.4 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (6.6 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 0.4 apg in 28.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +4.4 ppg, +9.6 rpg, and -0.9 apg.

Houston trades: SG Cuttino Mobley (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.4 minutes)
SG Terence Morris (19.7 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 42.4 minutes)
    C Kelvin Cato (6.6 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 0.4 apg in 28.0 minutes)
Houston receives: SG Jalen Rose (21.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.3 apg in 9 games)
Change in team outlook: -4.4 ppg, -9.6 rpg, and +0.9 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Chicago and Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Chicago and Houston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

If I was Carroll Dawson, I'd make him (CD) head coach, and promote Rudy to GM.

Get Rudy out of the limelight, and behind the scenes where he's most
    comfortable.

Then, CD could do some really impressive offensive/defensive schemes.

    Ok, not really.

But if things don't change soon! Heads will roll!

Believe me, I'd take your trades! Duncan and Francis on the same team?? :D

I was trying to make some feasible trades, with guys who have been rumoured to be in trade talks.
