what do you all think about this trade :

    Golden State
    Fortson 4.9m (til 06)
    Mills 6m (til 03)
    Sura 5.5m (til 04)
    draft picks
    16.9 m + total

    mo taylor 7.2m (til 07)
    rice 8.8m (til 04)
    thomas 1m (til 03)
    collier 1.3m (til 03)
    18.3m total

    grant 11.2m (til 07)
    carter 3.6m (til 04)
    ellis 3.3m (til 04)
    18.1m total

    Rockets get :

    grant
    sura
    picks
    ----
    16.7 m + picks

Rockets solidify the PF position with Grant defensively, and Sura can help off the bench in relief for both Mobley and Francis at PG or SG

    Heat get :

    taylor
    fortson
    mills
    ----
    18.1 m

The Heat desperately need scoring, and that's what Taylor brings. Fortson is an undersized PF/C but has shown he can hold his own in the low post, he should be able to rebound as well as Grant. Mills also brings scoring. Mills 6 m comes off the payroll at the end of the season, same time as Zo's contract expires, so they will free up 26+ m off their payroll.

    Warriors get :

    carter
    rice
    ellis
    thomas
    collier
    ------
    17.7

Carter will be a good backup PG for Arenas. They also get more scoring on the outside with Rice, which they don't have right now, to compliment their big guys inside. Ellis can help teach their young forwards - Dunleavy, Murphy, etc.. how to play in the NBA. Thomas and Collier should be good off the bench, I don't think Thomas will complain as much as Fortson about playing behind Jamison. Most importantly - they lose 14m off their payroll in '04.

Heck, why not ask Golden State to throw in their first-born as well?

Golden State isnt giving much at all. Sura and Mills dont get any PT and Fortson barely plays.

Thats beside the point. Im just not up for any trades. The team is fine the way it is.

    that was my point

sura is injured but will get little time behind richardson and arenas

fortson doesn't like coming off the bench, so he never leaves the bench

mills, i don't know if he even gets any minutes with murphy and dunleavy playing SF

Golden State trades: PF Danny Fortson (3.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.8 apg in 18.3 minutes)
Golden State receives: PF Kenny Thomas (10.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.0 apg in 29.6 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (3.9 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 20.3 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +11.3 ppg, +4.1 rpg, and +3.1 apg.

Houston trades: PF Kenny Thomas (10.4 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 3.0 apg in 29.6 minutes)
PG Moochie Norris (3.9 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 20.3 minutes)
Houston receives: PF Danny Fortson (3.0 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.8 apg in 4 games)
Change in team outlook: -11.3 ppg, -4.1 rpg, and -3.1 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Golden State and Houston being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Golden State and Houston had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Here's my list of 5 things I want to trade (OUT) now... as a Rockets fan

1 . Colin Pine (the faster he goes, the quciker we know that Yao is on his own

    2. Moochie Norris. THe more he plays .........I mean dribbles in a game.......the f*** sh** we win!!! In fact in Suns game he looked even less familiar with other Rocks.

    3. Colliers. With his starting, I think this is highest trade value we can ever get. One or two picks would be worthwhile to stockpile (pay off our debts!!)

    4. KT. After seeing KT and MO T in the Suns game, I think in a few weeks KT will be gone.

The 5th (and last would be Rudy!!), if we still dont improve after a few months of the above mentioned trades out.. I know coaches cant be traded...But if we cant improve besides the minor tweaking.........we might improve by substraction.
