Then why don't you head back over to the "classy" Phoenix board. And I wouldn't call beating somebody by 1 point "kicking somebody's ass". Congratulations on the win.

Come on board next time when Rox beats Suns. I can assure you
many of us will say some really nice things to you. You'd better show some "class" then.

You guys are killing me. OK, Clutch City had some GREAT teams, I know this. How 'bout you reflect on those teams rather than focusing on the "next 4, 5 games".

Need I remind you about what happened after the Rockets lost to the Suns last season on November 4th? Your record was as follows,

2-19

It was 2-19 because Francis went down with an injury. What was Phoenix record after they played the Rockets last November 4th?

Sure we can bring up the Franchise’s headaches, but the facts are 2-19.

And the facts were Francis was out with an injury. It is also a fact that you missed the playoffs to last year so I wouldn't be bringing up the Rockets record after the Phoenix game. The Rockets went 2-19 and you missed the playoffs.

Listen, I am not about rubbing anything in anyone’s face, I was just hoping for a bit of respect. As if the Suns didn’t buckle down on D when it mattered. As if Suns fans were b****ing about their coach or the refs when the ball didn’t bounce their way, as if Suns fans were worried about an open player...Blah, blah, blah.

Blah, blah, blah. It's a Rockets board what do you expect? I'm guessing that if the Rockets would have won you would be doing the same thing on the Phoenix board.

Like I said in a previous post, the vast majority of Rock fans are straight shooters, I was only addressing the few who wished injury upon our players, and made personal attacks on us. ITS A GAME FOLKS.

Exactly, so why are you mocking the Rockets record last year when you're ticked off at, as you mentioned, a small minority.

Regardless. Tonights game officially ends an hour ago.

No disrespect, then why are you here instead of celebrating the win on the Suns board?

Here's to another good game on the 15th day of new year. (and a bunch of wins for both teams from here on out)

Amen.

No doubt Relativist (and thanks for the branch)...

As you can see from my "joined date", I have been here for a few months. I know damn well that the vast majority of the people here are very knowledgeable fans...that’s why I have lurked here for so many months.

That being said, I was surprised to see the venom being spewed prior to tonight’s game. In fact, thats the only reason I decided to post.

Again, I know that the Clutch City community is a good one, and hope that you guys have much success this season (Lord knows you have the pieces). And....heres to much succes until 1-15-03 :D !

The Only Score That Matters:
Houston 2, Phoenix 0

Oh, UNBEATABLE.

EDIT: Jumped the gun a bit, oh well. Sorry Charles V, you seem like a decent guy. This was more directed toward the other guy.

RocksMillenium...

I don't normally like to get into anything person with people....but

for someone who has been here for 2 years and has put up over 5000 posts, you'd think you'd show a bit more tolerance, respect, and maturity towards others.

There is no reason to flame people who are just stating their opinions, and treat them like crap. Stick to the discussing the finer points of basketball and lay off the mudslinging.

I mean, nowhere does it say that fans of other clubs can't come here to discuss the Rockets.

You know I think it's a sign of respect that Suns fans ran over here to gloat about the win tonight and rip the Rockets (if you want Rockets fans to stop talking about past championship teams, don't bring up last year's team that went 2-19. Both are in the past). I mean when the Rockets lost to Seattle when didn't have Sonics fans running over here and gloating, same goes for Pacers fans (other then a few trolls). Either way I still see the Rockets finishing up high in the West, 5th or 6th. Mobley has a somewhat off game, Francis has an off game, Griffin has an off game, KT has an off game, and Cato isn't available yet the Rockets lose by 2 on the road. Even though I'm ticked off about this loss at least I know this wasn't the Rockets at their best.

I didn't flame, I just thought it was a bit hypocritical to jump on Rockets fans for taking shots at Suns fans and their team (which I agree, taking shots at them wasn't right), and then turning around and taking shots at Rockets fans and their team. That's all I'm saying. I didn't flame, I didn't call them a troll because they're not trolls. I didn't rip them, I didn't rip the Suns, I didn't say anything negative about the Suns fans. All I'm saying is that if you're going to be upset about Rockets fans not giving the Suns respect, don't rip on the Rockets team last year because it's the same boat. I didn't mudsling at all. As Charles V said, he has posted here for months, why would I take shots at a Suns fan that has been here for months? In fact the closest thing I see to a "flame" I might have said was when he said the game ended an hour ago and said why not celebrate on the Suns board. I'm not saying go away, all I'm saying is that is why be upset that Rockets fans are complaining about the coach, turnovers, the players, whatever when they're complaining on a Rockets board. I could understand if Rockets fans were complaining on the Suns board, but this is the Rockets board we're venting on.

Why don't you take your own advice pal.

You guys are smoking crack.

I'm sorry, if that's the basis for pointing the finger at Rudy, I think you are crazy.

listen "pal", no one takes "you must be smoking crack" as an insult. it's a common colloquial for "you must be joking!" it's not intended to be insulting like saying "you're a stupid moron if you think that"

don't see the difference? oh well, i tried. it's not my duty to educate people on the subtleties of slang.

Oh yes, that was very tolerant, mature, and respectful of you to say everyone was smoking crack and crazy while discussing the finer points of basketball. Oh, you're good!

Langhi played much more than 5-8 minutes and was on the court when the game ended. He may not be good enough for the Rockets, but he appears good enough for the victorious Suns. Of course, he didn't score much, but he made his contributions, essentially rendering Glen Rice useless down the stretch. I wish he had been given more of a chance by Rudy T. but am just happy he is getting to play somewhere. He was an absolute joy to watch at Vanderbilt.

Ok, so you guys can't take any ribbing. There's a difference between ribbing and insulting. That's all I can say. I don't write anything on here with the intent to defame or insult anyone's character, just here to talk hoops. If I think someone is posting B.S., I say they are crazy or smoking crack. I've ben called much worse and it doesn't bother me.

What bothers me is that I'm about to just stop posting anything on this board (I'm sure to many of your honest delight) because it just always deteriorates into this: A bunch of back and forth ego-driven mud-feasts because people don't have any thick skin and feel the need to jump on anyone who doesn't blindly worship thier team or roots for other teams.

It's tiring and makes the whole BBS go down a level. Even if you think I'm scum and whatever, why do you insist on getting into this? What purpose does it serve? Why not just talk basketball? Who cares if someone says something.

RocksMillenium, I regret saying anything to you. Just keep on smacking around people who you disagree with. You represent this board perfectly.

Where did I smack anybody around!? You know whatever it's to late to get into a meaningless argument with you over nothing. I don't think you're scum. Osama bin Laden is scum, you're just some guy that we had a disagreement with on a message board. The guy you're complaining that I'm ripping hasn't even posted since you complained about me, and this thread is going to be gone and the Lakers thread will pop up anyway, so if you want to call me a heartless b*stard who pounds on innocent people be my guest. This heartless b*stard is headed off to bed, good-night! :D

Langhi played 14 minutes and had 3 points and 2 boards. What a player!

Hate to say it, but I will: You needed Dan Langhi for that shot, not a shot blocker.

Don't be bitter. Be happy for him, that he's on a team letting him play when the game is on the line, in a victory over the Rockets no less. It didn't have to be this way.

That was a little harsh. Don't be mad at me because the Rockets refused to give Dan a chance. You should take that up with Rudy T.
