In Spanish we have to give a presentation on a famous Spanish-speaking person, and naturally, I chose my favorite basketball player, Luis Scola. What we have to present is basic biographic stuff, why they're famous, early life, etc. But there is one thing that has me stumped. "List thoughts, fears, hopes, regrets, predictions, sage advice, etc. the famous person has for the audience." Could you guys help me out with this? Would be greatly appreciated. Muchas gracias.
Scola has no emotions, he's a robot He doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and he will not stop, ever Man just plays basketball.
his biggest fear is his wife cutting his hair while he sleeps. On a serious note, Scola, along with manu, have done a lot of charity for youth in Argentina.
I liked this quote from Scola in this interview. “In the end, this is just a sport. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you can't control that. I’m not afraid to lose. I'm afraid of not playing hard enough...not preparing myself...not being ready to play.” So maybe "sage advice" along those lines about never being afraid and giving it your all no matter what. Scola is known for being fearless and always playing his heart out. Sorry I retained nothing from high school/college Spanish and can't help you with the translation.
Seeing that only reassures my love of his game and his character on and off the court. He was also so nice to meet and kept thanking my friends and I for coming to the event he was at. Also you should add that whatever the game may be, Luis is always serious.
Haha, I actually used that picture in my presentation Also, thank you to everyone who helped out. I've decided to combine them all into a short slide, I ran the idea by my teacher because no one else is doing a basketball player and she said it was fine. Thank you
sage advice: ALWAYS LAY IT UP RIGHT HANDED! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/-QzPpXzSRm8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I remember his first two years here, every time the Rockets committed either a TO or foul, my friends and I would yell "SCOOLAAAA!!!" I'm not quite sure why anymore.
Why don't you go read some interviews and learn about him instead of trying to get the GARM to do your dirty work?
This might help you out It's not much: just an Argentine sports newspaper search for Scola But if you want to give your presentation in Spanish, might as well look for the original quotes Or at least just some moderately useful pictures like Scola at the inauguration of a basketball playground Hope any of that helps!
Your an *******. It seems like the guy is working, but it's kinda hard finding out someones fears, etc.
