What no Yao Ming Stat referenced? FG% at Home by Centers 12. Yao Ming 0.583 The last four games happen to be at home.
Thats just it, the first 4 games, he averaged 5 tos and only 1 in the last two. Over the course of the season, his TOs will probably be somewhere in between. I was just trying to make the point that at this point in time, 1 TO a game is the exception to the rule for Steve.
Well, at least we're #11 in road attendance...apparently people outside of Houston appreciate the Rox as more of an attraction than Houstonians. You guys need to get your stuff together over there in that sh!thole of a city
Codell, Actually, I didn't mean that ranking 8th in turnovers was a good thing. I meant that someone like Steve, who handles the ball more than other players, is more likely to have turnovers. This ranking shows Kobe and Kidd to have more turnovers than Steve. This is significant because of the fact that Kobe and Kidd handle the ball more than other players, therefore, are comparable to Steve. So, we can assume that since Stevie averages less turnovers per game than Kobe and Kidd, this must be a positive stat for Steve. Here you go Codell, Steve has averaged a career total of 3.70 turnovers. Jason Kidd 3.37. That's not a very big difference considering Steve also ranks 2 in the NBA in efficiency.
Very true. It still goes back to A/TO ration. I would say that Kidds TOs are "good" turnovers in that, they arent due to him forcing the action with regards to his own shot or trying to make something happen via the ISO or going one on one with his man. I suspect most of Kidd's TOs come from his passing and trying to get his teamates involved, while Steve's come from him forcing the action with his individual play. Those are some great stats the NBA.com has. I wish they would keep stats with regards to touches. Specifically, Id like to see an assist per touch ration and to per touch ration. I think we would have alot more insight to Steve's game and tendencies through those type of stats.
