stop catchin feelings... This will surely make me stop posting .... But Ill log on as "Ascaptjack's Pimp"....becaue well , u obviously a hoe who needs direction and leadership....
i really can't believe people are blaming that game on the offense. you can't give up forty in the pros. they had no pass rush to speak of in the second half. isn't this defense supposed to get pressure? well all i can say is they looked great against subpar offenses and terrible in the second half against an above average offense. so maybe they're average, which would be sufficient, i still believe in this offense.
They win that game. . .folx would be telling the Saints you cannot give up 33 points and expect to win Relative. Situational Fails Redzones - Situational Fails 4th Quarter - Situational Fails When a play was needed. . . neither squad did it in the 4th Rocket River
With Arian as tailback, and ideally Vickers blocking for him yes. Do you see this defense stopping the Saints on 4th and xx, much less goal line situations? The Saints converted on 4/5 3rd downs in the 4th quarter which resulted in 23pts. They ran what looked like the same defensive play on the 2pt conversions. From what I read Saints were 60% in the red zone yesterday, so maybe that's close to what this defense was aiming for. I'm only going by Kubiak on his presser, but he said out of the 26 RZ runs 11 of them averaged a yard or less. I love the versatility of Casey, but inside the 20, where you gotta run, give me a blocking specialist in Vickers. Of course Arian is missed, but I think swapping in Vickers every once in a while would mean a higher RZ%.
Not solely blaming the offense, both sides played the part in the loss. Up until the 4th quarter the Defense kept the game winnable. Granted they did fall apart completely in the 4th. The problem was that Shaubs offense could not stay on the field long enough to keep Drew's offense off of the field long enough for us to win. You can not give a saints offense that may chances to score in the 4th quarter. That is why you can say the game basically came down to the INT by Shaub and the 3 & Out Punt by Hartman
they are one in the same. both have talent to be #1 in the nfl but you got coaches that run the same formations or plays every game and thus scouts can outsmart the texans. it happened with wade in dallas last year and happens to kubiak every year. sad really that when you look at the roster, you think "wow, this is a dream team" then you watch them play and they vomit on themselves like rick perry
The game "basically" came down to the defense giving up 23 points in the 4th, 30 in the half. The offense scored 14 in the 4th after going in with a 19-17 lead. This team will go nowhere if the offense has to be perfect in order to win.
well for 50 minutes the saints only had 17 points, defense gave them the ball with the chance to sit on the ball and put the game away.. they didnt.. defense got set up for failure..
Question: Both Kubiak and wade said they wanted the cornerbacks to play tighter coverage. Apparently being seven yards off from the receiver is bad technique! So why is #25 disobeying orders? In real battlefighting, that could be punishable by death or court martial. Why didn't they call a timeout and take them out? They are, afterall, the coaches! This worries me. Kjizz is not always there. He kind of forgot that a receiver is not down by contact and you have to at least touch him.
That is true, but you have to think, how many teams will be giving up 30-40 points against the Saints. They are a prolific scoring team. No matter how good the Defense, its going to be hard to keep them out of the 30's. The 4th quarter defense was horrendous, however the game still could have been won if the offense did not break down as well.
It was nice to see them taking advantage of a weak line. Anybody know how many sacks they ultimately ended up getting? Its gotta be close to a franchise record. Wish they could have caused as much havoc last week against the Saints... and we'd be 4-0. Rothlesberger would have had a field day against this secondary without that major pressure against him... in the end, our crappy secondary has one pick (should have had two), and multiple tipped passes, and one huge hit to dislodge a ball... and allofasudden they look like a decent secondary.
IF JJ gets the pick 6, and the return TD from the block, does he start getting looks as a defensive player of the year?
