Would this be better for Francis? He could be one of the best shooting guards in the history of basketball. Cutino could be a very valuable player for any team and trading him for a true point guard would be beneficial for our entire team. The question is which point guards are on the market?

    FART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many times are we going to go through this? Francis can in no way guard the bigger two guards in the league. Do you really want him being the guy on Kobe in the clutch? Which point guards are on the market? None, dammit, holy crap there are NO freakin point guards available right now that will help this team. And what can we get for Mobley? Well, you said it yourself, Mobley is a very valuable player (especially for us), but he isn't paid that way. Because of his contract, all we could get for Mobley is straight up crap, bull****, riff raff, chump change, and scrubs. Enough is enough, this team is fine the way it is.

By the way, read this thread and tell me if we should still trade for a pg. Frankly, I trust Rudy's opinion over yours:http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45382

So tell me about this true point guard? Does he have to be good or can he suck as long as he passes the ball first?

Until there's actually a point guard on the trading block or available in some form or fashion that justifies giving away the 23 points per game that Mobley gives us, I think this "Move Francis to the 2" talk is a waste of time. Who would pick up Mobley's scoring load?

    forenzi,

I know a good thing when I see one. I was a proponent of moving Francis to the two guard at first. But with the way Francis is playing(breathtaking) and the way the rest of the team is adapting to it, there is no way I'd move Francis to the two guard. You do know we are 4-2 right? It seems that Rudy was right when a few years ago he said Francis has a chance to revolutionize his position; As of now, Francis is doing that perfectly.

Give us a holler if his shooting percentages dip down below 45%, turnovers reemerge, and we start losing.

But until then, relax, ride the wave and let it be.

I've been talking about moving him to the shooting guard for a long time because that's what he is but you have to present an offer for a point guard who makes sense and isn't just some scrub. Payton is a free agent and would be great to team up with Francis because he can defend shooting guards but I doubt we could pull off a sign and trade. Unless you can find a quality point guard who's at least equal to Mobley's play at the 2, then what you want to do with Francis doesn't really matter.

Not to mention Francis would be absolutely thrilled if Mobley was traded.

Why even trade, I mean we do have Tito:D

We could also make Moochie the center, with his hair up he is tall enough.:D

We could give Calvin Murphy that 10 day contract he has been wanting for years.:D

This is like saying we should let HAWK guard Shaq since he is so good at playing defense. Oops I hope I didn't just open a can of worms:eek:
