It seems to me that Eddie is evloving to be Robert Horry like type of player. But Eddie has more offensive skills and younger and more humble and better speed.

I would say that Eddie will be a better shotblocker and rebounder than Horry. Horry started out great, but he leveled off. Hopefully, Eddie will continue to improve.

Eddie seems to be evloving into a Shaquile Oneal. But Eddie is not as tall, doesn't weigh as much, can shoot three's, is better looking.............What???

I hope Eddie doesn't become another Robert Horry. Our 6' 10" power forward doesn't need to be standing at the top of the key jacking up threes

We won a championship with with your 6'10 small forward at the time jacking up threes and hitting big shots.

That same 6'10 forward stood at the top of the key jackin up 3's and look how the lakers came out of it.

I disagree. Last year Eddie looked more like a Robert Horry, but he's utilizing a mid-range game now. I love it when the Rockets give him the ball in the post; he's starting to hit the short jumper with some regularity. As far as defense, I think Eddie's a better post defender, but Horry is a better perimeter defender. Really, the only similarity is that they both tend to throw up a lot of three-pointers.

Of course, you forget that we had a hall of fame center that was able to demand a double team that freed up Horry for wide open looks. Wait, don't the Lakers also have a pretty good center, too? You also forget that Robert Horry has practically ZERO post up game and can't put the ball on the floor very well, so his only contribution came from three pointers and defense.

If you think that our offense will be successful with Griffin shooting three pointers all season long, you are sadly mistaken

I hope EG does not settle for being Robert Horry.

Horry is one of the laziest players in the history of the NBA...all that talent and he wastes it.

Eddie Griffin is not no Robert Horry.

They may seem alike but their style and skills are different.

Horry has never backed Rasheed down and calmly stroked a 10-foot turnaround in his face...

I'm sure the gleam from his five championship rings comforts him at night! :D

If anything, maybe Griffin will be as LUCKY as Horry. What other player has had as free a ride to five titles like him?

My impression of Horry is that he floats through most games on a cloud, as if he's not really there. On occasionally does a fire light up in him and he come to play. He played in the 1995 playoff series. And people were talking of him and the next big thing for the Rockets at the time...

But it never materialized. He floated through the next season and we ended up with the Barkley trade...

So I hope that Eddie G is a little like Horry, in that he learns to shoot a good J, but rather takes his game intensity from another former Rocket, such as Sir Charles or Hakeem.

If Eddie lives up to his potential, he'll be more like Hakeem than Horry.

Actually, EG is developing like a Dirk Nowitzki type but more potent on D. During an interview with Calvin Murphy, EG said he wants to develop all aspects of his game from inside and out and be a complete all round player that can fill SF, PF, or C.

Eddie seems a lil more aggressive on the offensive end than Horry. I think Horry was the better passer to, he use to throw some nice lobs to Hakeem for the alley oop. Also for some reason Horry strikes me as more atheletic than Eddie. Maybe i'm just thinking that because i've seen Horry dunk and attack the rim more than Eddie

We should've kept RJ. He is turning into a superstar fast.

I hope Eddie can be better I think he has more potential than Horry ever had. But if he turns out like Horry when the Rockets had him and hit big shot after big shot. I wont feel to disapointed.

I would feel very disapointed. Jefferson and going to be a superstar, and Eddie is going to be a good role player. :(

Right, that's why Rudy T and Phil Jackson love Horry so much.

Horry plays so hard, how can you call him lazy?

New Yorker, i think what DaDakota is saying is Horry had all the potential in the world he just never lived up to it. If Horry fully developed he would have never been traded from the Rockets.
