    How was this false hope? They didn't take him to a fake hospital and have a fake doctor tell him they could cure him. They let him be a superhero for a day.

    i'm a fan of his logic re: his children. Assuming he has a decent sized lump of money for them in case of a catastrophe or something

    horrible horrible news :(
    Like others I read the story above and thought that was a really nice thing everyone did and how a sick boy was able to live out his dream for a day. Then I realized it was posted from last year and just saw the horrible news. RIP Erik
