    if someone is trying to say goddess envy, as if envy were a nickname, in mandarin chinese is it written envy goddess from left to right or is it goddess envy? my girlfriend had the character for 'envy' tattooed on her right hip and she wants 'goddess' tattooed on her left hip. would that look correct in chinese? hope that explanation made sense...thanks to anyone who can help

    hmmm..

    It's right to left in ancient Chinese, left to right in modern Chinese. You can still see right to left in some temples. So either way, your gf can not go wrong. :)
