After we started out 2-2 some of you guys were acting like we were a terrible team and that we suck, yet again. Look at us now. We are 4-2 and just beat one of the best teams in the league. All of you Steve haters and Rockets doubters probably feel stupid now! We are on the road to the playoffs baby!

Wait a minute this can't be right! Didn't NextBigTroll pick us to lose tonight? Didn't AsianBoy call the Rockets a bunch of losers and said wait until tomorrow it'll prove his point? This can't be true!

Reason, what do you have to say about Eddie now? Do you think Richard Jefferson would have stuffed Sabonis with 10 seconds left? Do you still think he'll never be nothing more than a role player?

I really don't understand why the Clutch (the administrator) closed "how is Yao's performance tonight" thread. I posted another thread to ask about this, and my message was cancelled.

Hi, Clutch, this is the Rockets board. Why don't we have the freedom to talk about Yao Ming on the Rockets' board? He is a Rocket, isn't he?

He didn't delete it because of that. He was eliminating redundant threads because it was killing the server. He just wanted you to ask that question in the game thread.

We're still playing well below our potential. Steve still needs to distribute the ball. An ugly win doesn't change that fact.

The Blazers are not "one of the best teams in the league". Talentwise, maybe, but they were 3-4 coming into this game and were not playing very good basketball.

It's a good accomplishment that we beat them, but declaring we are playoff bound because we beat a currently under-achieving team is silly.

    That said, go rox.

The doubters are saying that no win wipes away 3 years of tendencies and the haters are asking why your head is a polyp up Steve's colon. ;)

By the way, not that you're looking stupid or anything but all of our wins are against teams with losing records. Let's keep a little perspective there buddy and I'll make sure that if we lose by 20 to the Kings that I don't start a thread asking what all you polyps have to say then.

That same team also beat San Antonio and came close to beating Dallas. The Rockets can't win, when the Rockets beat somebody it's either they beat a bad team, they beat a team without Vince Carter, or they beat a struggling team. 4-2 is 4-2, and a lot of team would love to be 4-2, namely the Jazz, Suns, Lakers, Wizards and that same Blazers team the Rockets beat tonight.

The combined record of the teams we've beaten is 10-20. It's great to beat teams you should beat but you don't extrapilate greatness from beating teams with a combined 10-20 record. If we keep beating mediocre/slumping teams hopefully we can make the playoffs.

I only saw the most of the second half but Steve looked pretty awesome! Even if he only had 5 assists at least he's taking responsibility for his team. There, feel better! ;)

The Rockets need to start learning how to play as a team so they can start actually looking like a playofff team. To me talentwise they should be 6-0, but I think they sometimes only score in spurts and play too much catch up that will haunt the this season if this continues. However, I was happy with the low number of turnovers the defensive intensity after the flagerant foul and the fact that we are 4-2. Go Rockets:D

Well those wins over Toronto and Denver were far from impressive imo. Not only was there a huge disparity talent-wise, but the rocks played ugly in both games.

but the wins against GState and Portland ... those were big this early in the season. Yeah they have losing records too, but they also have serious talent. Those were the kind of game the rocks have lost the past few years. It seems like the rocks are getting better every game, building chemistry, and still managing to win. That's huge.

I'm happy because we are beating teams we are supposed to beat as opposed to last year where every once in a while we would get lucky and beat a good team and lose just about every game against bad teams that we should have beat.

Oh yeah and Ming looked really good tonight. His best performance as a Rocket by far. I never doubted him so I dont feel stupid. I knew he had talent and he will get better and better with every game. He is a Houston Rocket therefore I'm gonna support him nomatter what. The thing that pisses me off is people have started coming in here trolling because they are Ming fans not Rocket fans, and they start bashing our coaching staff and players for Mings faults. Ming seems happy and content joking around and laughing with our guards during shoot-around before the game. He is becoming more comfortable each game, and the more productive he can be in those 15 minutes the more minutes Rudy will start to give him. His biggest problem is his rebounding. When he catches a rebound he lets it slip through his hands and this happend more than once. He only had 4 rebounds but could have had at least 7-8 in 15 minutes of play if he could have held on to them. How about that block on Sabonis? Ming gets very few blocks but when he does man it is entertaining. Those things shoot out of there like rockets when he swats them. I wish he would use that intensity more often.
