No, I believe that takes his comments out of context.

See my above comment- It has more to do about those 4 universities acting together unanimously, which supports them going west together.

Kent Hance has been in Oklahoma the past few days and reports were the OU president was in Lubbock yesterday.

Level also tweeted over the weekend- OU, OSU, and TTU all very much on the same page.

how in the world was this guy reporting that the waivers had been signed BEFORE the Big XII conference call between the schools had even begun? i'm thinking that's huge news that would be over 2 hours old by now...and Chris Level is the only guy who has the scoop 2 hours later?

Band aid school? Perhaps, but what has you worried is that they aspire to greater than mere band-aid status, rather they wish to achieve the Turtle & Johnny Drama status that Texas Technical and Oklahoma Statenichal have achieved to the Longhorns & Sooner's Vince & Eric's.

    Agreed, this is a circus.

Yea, UofH's role in all of this probably will not exceed giving Baylor big ol' bear hug and telling them C-USA isn't that bad.

You are flaming out Sam. You are usually a very clever poster and you regularly own people in the D&D, but I guess when it comes to your bias opinion on your university - your cleverness disappears. Orange glasses also kill brain cells I suppose.

To be honest, I think CUSA is allright. It's the BCS that sucks butt and has made certain conferences a death sentence.

I love A&M's misguided anger at Baylor. I think it is hilarious.

Baylor is not doing anything. They are not suing, they are not threatening anything. All they are doing is saying they will not give up their ability to sue. They have no idea what is going to happen. Any university in Baylor's position should do the exact same thing. What if a year from now when Baylor is rotting in the C-USA, evidence comes out that the SEC reached out to A&M in November and had this all planned out while A&M was assuring the Big XII they are solid? Tough luck, Baylor. You gave up your right to sue.

Why isn't A&M mad at the SEC? They are the one's that are allowing Baylor to have all of this pull. All the SEC has to say is, "Come on over!" and A&M is in. But they aren't. Obviously, the SEC feels they, or A&M, have done something wrong, or they wouldn't be so scared of a potential lawsuit.

Very interesting times indeed. I <3 Aggie misery.

As a Tech Alum, my worries have nothing to do with UofH threatening their seat at the table.

No, I don't think there is anything wrong with C-USA either. However, going from a BIG 12 caliber conference to C-USA would be a tough pill to swallow.

In the event A&M moves to the SEC, the era of Super-conferences begin and C-USA schools will not be a part of that party, which brings us back to Baylor throwing a tantrum....

I do not understand how people do not understand this. A&M freaks out at UT for LHN...then says, "we're just looking out for ourselves by going to SEC"....then freaks out when BU looks out for its interests. Certainly if you have any understanding whatsoever of the amounts of money involved here that BU stands to lose, you can understand why they would hesitate to sign a release without some compensation for that. I can't think of a time where I had a client sign a release where he/she/it wasn't compensated for it.

Interesting logic there. So breaking an agreement and "hurting" multiple schools is not as bad as "hurting" one school?

    Dumb.

This is not about A&M. This about Baylor and the other schools not wanting to bend over and sign away their legal rights just to make the SEC sleep well, while the Big 12 implodes and they lose millions in revenue.

The fact that you take issue with what the smaller schools are doing to preserve their share of the pie, yet you fail to do the same when the bigger schools pull the same moves is bizarre.

This is about revenue. The same revenue streams that you are b****ing about UT having over you. The same revenue streams you're trying to get a bigger cut of by jumping to the SEC.

Why do the Aggies constantly play the victim? Hypocrites.
