How about the other Murphy Charlie? Dave Chappelle gave that guy his career back.

After watching the trailer for Tower Heist and seeing Murphy not play a bit$h, I'm a little intrigued myself, maybe his career will have a continuation from where it died 14 years ago.

    What career?

I tried to watch Charlie's new comedy special and I almost threw up.

He was good as part of the Chappelle Show, but he's terrible on his own.

If he opens the show as Gumby or Buckwheat my faith in humanity will forever be restored.

Damn, after you predicted your daughter would be an NBA cheerleader,,,I thought you were announcing the host might be you.

but yeah, I suspect Eddie Murphy is going to transition into a career of get more and more gigs like this. His respect to previous generation comedian (Jerry Lewis) and overall talent and ability to look sharp in a tux, far and away better than any SNL talent ever, sets him up for a transcending second stage of his career.

Jerry Seinfeld? Eh, maybe not quite ideal, but seems like worthy consideration.

You know, the good ones are the ones that can make a joke on the fly, in the moment. Actors/actresses with a background in standup are ideal for hosting awards shows.

Reps for anyone that can find the video of the David Spade sketch that's caused Eddie Murphy to hate SNL to this day

It's America, we don't care about the other minorities. At least not on TV

If you want a comedian, let Kat Williams do it. And let him come out on stage with this song:
