No surprise. I think his best shot in the NFL may be to beef up and become a tackle cause he is a very good blocker.

Our favorite BMF, the natural Andre Johnson was featured in Men's fitness. He also offered some of his offseason workouts at the U.

Before I say this let me say I am a fan of Steve Slaton's and hope he somehow gets sprinkled into our offensive plans though I realize that is highly unlikely. So that being said does anybody make anything of this part of the comments made by Kubes:

On not playing Steve Slaton against the Vikings with the final cut looming: “He was healthy enough to play. That was strictly me. He was coming off hamstring. We only had two practices and one of them was a walk-through. I didn’t feel comfortable putting him out there on turf after he’d been gone so long. I think you keep good football players. Steve is a good football player. We’ll have to see how that pans out. I know what Steve is. I (didn’t play him) because I didn’t think it was real smart. That was just a decision on my part.”

It almost seems to me like they are going to keep him. Just was wondering about ya'lls thoughts.

Additionally just wanted to share my thoughts on the whole roster matter for the Texans. I think the team is clearly convinced James Casey can truly do everything. FB, TE, WR. He will probably be our 5th receiver. Again based on this above quote I truly do believe the Texans plan on keeping 4 at running back. Lastly the Trindon Holliday going on the practice squad thing makes complete sense to me. I noticed the comment made earlier about how he does not deserve to make this team especially with the new kickoff rules set as the way they are. But as we all can almost literally see that it almost seems like a foregone conclusion that those rules will be reversed back to old by next year. Keeping him on the practice squad is a decent gamble to take in my opinion. Aside from that I'm sad to see Adibi, and Lewis go (if true) but I'd have to concur that the Texans have some big plans coming when cuts are officially made. Looks like we may just have another trick up our sleeve. Awesome!

i can understand that but i ultimately think they are looking for more size and toughness on the inside

I just don't get the Adibi cut. Unless they've got a bead on some talent being cut elsewhere, it doesn't really make sense. They need as much LB depth as they can get, and the guy was having a pretty good pre-season.

Cowboys cut Igor Olshansky, I think the Texans will sign him.

I agree that the Texans will sign him. They need depth across the defensive line. Tim Jamison had a great preseason but Olshansky would provide additional depth. He played his entire career under Wade Phillips with both the Chargers and Cowboys.

The Texans cut John Graves. Not a surprise since he was a UDFA.

    David Andersen cut in Denver.

Might just get our 4th WR back at a cheaper rate.

I hope so, Denver people spoke as if they thought he would make it. Oh well, I'd welcome him back with open arms.

FYI, Dan Orlovsky cut by the Colts.

The point spread has really moved in the Texans favor lately. A couple weeks ago I posted something that said Houston was at -3. The point spread today is at -5.5. Is it because money is moving to the Texans or is Vegas protecting itself just in case Manning doesn't play?

I still don't understand why he was cut. *
He catches everything and can take hits like other. Bring him back!

*Other than being a cap hit. But he makes on average what every other 4th WR maks. =/

That's great. A total Wade guy and I guess he can provide some solid celebration moves after making a meaningless tackle if we're down by 18points against some team this season.

    The new Dunta?!

I'm going to miss Adibi, but if we can get some solid DL depth...had to be done, I guess. Also, guess Dickerson couldn't beat out Bryant Johnson?

Brandon Meriweather released from the Patriots...anyone interested?

Also, Will Allen from the Dolphins.

Some good players to be had for depth.
