For me I'm willing to trade Moochie.Steve eats a lot of minutes and we don't need a high priced non-contributing backup PG. Can you help me guys whom we can trade him? I'm thinking of a deal with CLeveland coz they really need a pg...But i don't know what we can get from them...In other boards they say that do it with dallas but for whom again..? what do u think guys? :)

The only value Moochie has, is to the weed dealers in Houston.

Maybe we could trade him to Spaulding or Wilson. They get a "bounce-ability" tester and we get some practice balls.:) Everybody wins.

We might be able to con somebody out of a draft pick (low first rounder  )

Remember we loose two of our next 3 first rounders (franics & morris trade), so some draft picks would be nice.

I like Moochie, but the guy does not fit our system. He is not a quick passer and often massages the ball as if it were a power dancer.

He also breaks down plays when he refuses to shoot wide open jumpers. Instead he drives into the teeth of the defense which more often then not is disastorous.

I don't believe Moochie will be playing more then 10 minutes per game when and if everyone is healthy. When we won 45 games two years ago Moochie did not play that much in the second half of that season. Rudy I believe was forced to rely on the 3-guard lineup last year due to injuries. He knows small ball does not win squat.

Steve, Cuttino, Rice, Morris, KT, Mo, Eddie, Cato will get majority of the minutes with some going to Ming, Hawkins and Moochie.

Dont sweat the guy. I'd trade him, but there is no one else out there anyways.

    Would Seattle do this:

    Mooch
    KT

    for

Kenny Anderson (final year in contract)
Protecetd first round pick (mid range)

Celtics? They're a whisker away from luxury tax. The only moves they'll make in the next 2 years will be to save money.

    Here's a more complicated one:

Nick Van Exel to New York
    Kenny Thomas to New York

    Charlie Ward to Houston
    Othella Harrington to Houston

    Moochie Norris to Dallas
    Knicks injury exception to Dallas

Maybe a few 2nd round picks here and there to sweeten the deal?

Isn't Seattle above/near the lux tax? If so, then I don't see them doing it. They probably view Anderson's expiring contract as an asset. And wouldn't want Mooch's ridiculously long contract, as well as the fact that KT is a FA at the end of the year. I think KT ends up signing a contract with SOMEONE for around 4-5 mill/year.

Moochie's contract might be too big of a burden for other teams. To the point where WE would have to toss in #1 picks to get the other team to pull the trigger.

If I'm Sea, my logic is that Mooch is = to Anderson. Mooch has a long contract that is fairly overpriced.

Also, they seem content to have Radmonovic as their starting PF of the future. Meaning there is no great demand for KT.

I dunno. I'm not sold on Radomanovic as a PF in the West. KT brings whatever Radomanovic doesn't bring, and we know that Payton LOVES KT.

I don't think Seattle are close to the limit, and if they are, it will only be for this season. Payton's contract comes off the books next year.

No trade for KT! he is an important part of our Team, if we are going to have respectable scorers, other than the two Shooting Guards, we need him. I agree on getting rid of Norris for a future draft pick. It will give us a chance to develop Titto!

KT for Kenny Anderson? Thats freakin insane! Did you not see the last game? One of the main reasons we won the game was due to KT's post presence. Against one of the biggest team in the NBA to boot. KT and MoT are the only two reliable post options we have and we'd be stupid to get rid of any one of them.

I would like to trade Moochie only for a top draft pick such as T.J Ford. I like his game but i doubt it'll happen :(

T.J is a fast learner and he is a true point guard.

I would love to have TJ Ford has a backup. But a couple of problems.

    1) No team in the NBA is going to trade a 1st round pick, whether it be high or low, for Moochie.

    2) If you do have a top draft pick, I wouldnt use it on a guy that will be no more than a backup for us.

    3) TJ Ford might be a viable starter in this league. It wouldnt be fair to him to draft him and have him play 10-15 mins a game behind Francis and Mobley. Id like to see Ford in Memphis if they dont get LeBron James.

If we were to ever trade Moochie, my guess would be, we would have to take someones baggage (for salary cap purposes) and the best pick we could hope to get would be a mid 2nd rounder.

    Good point Codell

I think T.J's game would fit in most team because of the style he plays.I think Cleveland right now is in need of a point guard and if they don't get Lebron, maybe they can draft T.J and have a nice backcourt combo with Dejuan.

I think that would give Cleveland a very small backourt and that would hurt them when they are playing teams with a big 2 guard (McGrady, Pierce, etc.). But they might could pull it off depending on their frontcourt.

I think Cleveland will go hard after James. In reality, I dont think James would be a good fit for Memphis. Memphis already has scorers, they need a leader and a distributor. Ford may fit that bill. Im thinking Memphis will go hard after Andre Miller and West will go after a legitimate coach after the season ends.
