actually wasn't it Etonic.... i remember getting a pair of hakeem etonics for something like 25 bucks.... and i remember him saying that he wanted to make sure to only endorse a shoe that most people could buy.
What you people need to realize is that Hakeem is not like other NBA guys who takes money and spends it on bling bling stuff. He is a shrewd businessman. He has real estate busniness and also foreign textile business if I am not mistaken. A lot goes to charities, mostly in your own community. $12 million has a whole lot of investment potential. The $12 that he gets does not come from Raptors pockets, it comes out of insurance. It actually helps to free up Raptors payroll. Oh so now you all are insurance company sympathizers? Wait till your insurance company screws you over next time, maybe then you wont feel the same. I will bet every penny in my bank on the fact that if anyone of us has $12m to take, no one of us is going to walk away from it. What Hakeem is doing not illegitimate. He and the other other party worked on a deal to get out of contract on good terms without hurting either side. Most smart people on this board realize that. Other blind Hakeem haters refuse to understand this.
That's how I could afford to go to school in Spaldings. Never could afford Nikes back when I was in high school.
