Yeah man I went to Costa Rica for a month in February. Never went to Liberia though. Definitely check out Manuel Antonio if you get a chance. Also do the weekend long white water rafting too, although you have to go to the other side of the country for the best spots for that. I enjoyed Arenal also. Didn't go to Montezuma but heard that was pretty good from a few friends. I spent some time on the Caribbean side and it was great. Cahuita national park next to Puerto Viejo was pretty awesome. Also hear playa del coco is pretty cool, but again didn't make it up there. Lived in the town of Turrialba for most of the time, about 1.5 hours east of San Jose. Dude, where the hell have you been? Me and Q tried to contact you a few months ago, you get a new number? If so, shoot me a text, still got the same number.
I just returned from Manuel Antonio Village outside Quepos about 10 days ago. flew into San Jose and took a hopper flight (Sansa Air) to Quepos regional. it was one of the best vacation experiences of my life. the best part about Quepos & Manuel Antonio is to live like the locals. we rented a local condo and a couple of scooters (everyone rides motor bikes there) and were riding into town and back each day, finding a new adventure along the path... there is Manuel Antonio National Park, a very small peninsula full of thick rainforest jungle, sloths and monkeys everywhere you look. we went ziplining, waterfall rapelling, did some gambling at the casinos, went on a half day fishing trip, and made friends with the Ticos. you wake up with the sun at about 5:30 and go to bed around 9 or 10 with the way the lifestyle works out there. We celebrated a wedding, then the newlyweds went to Playa Negra for some good surf. if you end up choosing Manuel Antonio, feel free to email me for some tips on good food and touristy adventures if that's your thing. The Pacific is a mighty beast.. PURA VIDA! edit: got all excited from a necrobump. still on Tico time I guess...
