? may be misunderstanding what you are saying but there wasn't contact, that's why it was a strikeout.

I see... then my eyes deceived me. Did the ball bounce off Corporan's glove then? I thought I saw the hitter make contact.

you may not have realized what happened altogether if you had it on mute.

giants had runner on first and 2 strikes on batter. batter tried to check his swing, ball bounced and got away from corporan on pitch. corporan saw runner breaking for 2nd because ball got away, scrambled to retrieve ball and throw it to 2nd to try and get runner out because he didn't know, or have time to know, that the 1st base ump, on appeal, was saying that batter went around for 3rd strike. the runner beat the throw to 2nd, and altuve threw to 1st to get the 3rd out on the batter who struck out.

I see... yea, I simply thought the hitter made contact on a check swing. Makes sense now.

Poor outing by Melancon... first 2 hitters hit the ball well off him, runner steals 2nd with ease, then gives up the game-tying RBI. Got lucky with the bad baserunning or it's man on 2nd with 1 out.

Run scored in each extra half inning so far... let's see if we can stop that trend.

The idea that Roy Oswalt never complained while an Astro (especially, and often, about the offense) is ludicrous.

In the latter part of his career, sure... not the majority of it.

I never said he never complained. Re-read my post.

Heckuva series. Too bad it doesn't mean anything standings wise, but wins (and series) like this are great for a young team.
