As I was watching this game on saturday I sat and evaluated which team I hated more. my heart basically told me that I disliked OU more because they do not play in Texas. With ATM, I consider it a respectful hate, maybe because the ATM folks are still Texans. Whereas the hatred for OU is blood hatred, and the texans that play for and go to OU are trators. If you are born in Texas, you should root for the Texas colleges (my opinion only). OU's hand sign is to simply turn ours upside down. What the heck is that? Mix in some creativity or just mere thought. At least ATM has their own. I like it when OU fields good teams, because it is sweeter when they lose to unranked teams, and it amazes me how the college town of Norman has 7 national championships with it. I think there is more respect between ATM and UT than UT and Oklahomo. I could be wrong about that though. I was thinking, why is it that every school hates Texas? That must mean that Texas is indeed the best school ever in every area right?. Texas has not 1, but 2 true rivalry games every year. How many other schools play 2 rivalry games a year. (who are they, I am not really sure, but not many schools I reckon) Those are just my thoughts. Let the disagreements run rampant!
i guess UF counts with GA (cocktail party thingy) and FSU, can't think of others. anyway, i definitely hate OU more but i think that has more to do with them being good than anything else. technically i rooted for all texas schools before college, but once i got to UT, i hated a&m the most. then a little thing called 63-14 happened and ou took over and has been there ever since. now it's not really even close. i practically feel sad for a&m watching them lose 4 times, i would relish every damn minute of a 4-loss ou season. i would call bob stoops house and taunt him about it. hell, i'd do that even if he wasn't the coach anymore. damn i hate ou. and yes, any texan on the ou roster is a MFing traitor. i don't see how you can do it. even if you think you have a better chance to win, your soul should prevent you.
Without a doubt, any Longhorn lifer would say OU. In is an interstate rivalry that involves mutaul hate. There is nothing to like about OU. The aggy are the ones that have the issue. We are their rival, and to us its a big game, bigger than most if not all other games, but compared to the OU game its just another game.
I hate both schools equally. I respect OU football. They're cocky SOB's and have backed up their smack 3 years in a row. Taking Texas behind the woodshed in 2000 was classless yet I'm in awe. Mack Brown would never run up the score on a non-defenseless team. Their defense is badass and I think the Stoops brothers are geniouses. A&M football is currently in the toilet. I don't want them to lose unless they're playing on national TV.
Definitely OU. I can't really say I hate ATM. I normally root for them when they play other teams. It's good for UT and good for the state. Of course, some of their fans are rather obnoxious, but hey, whatever. It's a free country. I think of OU as more of a threat. They've been successful in the future and they seem to hate all things Texas. They're like the loud neighbor who refuses to turn their stereo down or take down their gaudy Halloween decorations until April. ATM is the loud little brother who thinks he's the **** but he really isn't and has never been.
Every game is a rivalry game against ND. I went to BC for undergrand, and it was our big rivalry game... along with USC, Michigan, and several others. Michigan is also hated by half the schools in the Big 10, it seems. Hmm... I hate TAMU. To be honest, I don't really have anything against OU. Don't know why, the rivalry just never seemed that urgent to me.
From a Tech fan its easily aTm with their wack tradtions and wack cheers its pretty hard to understand that kind of stuff. Not mocking it just dont get it. and nobody in lubbock does either. atms is techs most hated opponent im not sure why but thats just how it is. The people from aTm are all nice but going to Kyle Field will sure give you a head ache and its not how loud it is its just what the noises are. People dont mind UT most are rooting for them to go all the way. OU not sure what the perception is but personally I like them got some guys from my High School on that team so its impossible to root against out even when they play tech.
Except our athletes. On the mark. The neighbor pisses you off b/c you can't make him leave. The little brother, well, when the time comes you just kick his ass.
I dislike OU much more. But I do respect the hell out of Stoops and the way he turned that program around. I don't care much about A&M either way. I know its supposed to be a rival, but it sure doesn't feel like it. I've been to the annual Thanksgiving game before, and I didn't even get the same vibe as watching the RRS on TV!

That would have been a nightmare if OU and ND played for the national championship. I would probably just turn the game off and hope for injuries. Maybe the refs could win?
