They blew out Por and are blowing out SA...

I think they got much tougher when they added Elie... He brings so leadership and toughness to a team that was in desperate need of it...

In addition, the Suns are missing 2 of their best 3 players in Googs and Penny...

When they get those 2 guys back, the Suns will have tremendous depth...

Their shortcoming would be center as usual...

The Suns are doing it without Googs and Penny! Delk and Elie were both great additions. They have a solid group at the 5 even though they are unspectacular. (Saw Dudley block Sean Elliot on a drive last night!).

Wow, they are out of the gate fast. Not sure if they are the WC favorites, but they deserve to be mentioned in any conversation that includes LA, SA & Minn.

granted the Suns are playing well, but it`s very early in the season to say the Suns are the team to beat.I do not believe they have the size to deal with Shaq and the Lakers and not enough talent to keep up with the cash stocked Blazers. An early season win againist any of the top teams in the West doesnt mean squat.

The Suns won 52 games last year with all kinds of injuries. A healthy Marion and the addition of Tony Delk have made this team deep. They will make some noise in the west for sure when Penny and Googs come back

Will a great regular season record translate into entry into the Western Conference Finals? The playoffs seem to turn into grind it out half court affairs and it will be interesting to see how the Suns do.

Shawn Marion WILL AVERAGE at lesat 17 points a night... He was great as a rookie last year, but he's added a decent jumper to his arsenal...

Jason Kidd is the top PG in the league period.

If Elie, and this is a big if, can make Penny tougher then the Suns easily have the best depth from positions 1-4...

    PG-Kidd, Delk
    SG-Penny, Elie
    SF-Marion, Rogers
    PF-Googs, Cliff Robinson

Chances are that Cliff Robinson would shift to C once Googs comes back in Decemeber...

That's the best starting 5, better then Por...
