    30 points
    2 reb
    5 assists
    1 steal
    AND ONLY 1 TURNOVER!

I don't care if Steve only gets one assist in a game, it's more important that he has a low turnover count. When the Rockets begin shooting better, Steve's assists should go up anyways.

Steve is looking deadly this year. He improves every season. This is a good sign of things to come.

Very impressive...The thing is if you paid attention you'd see he was TRYING to make assists happen. He could have piled it, if he wanted...His teammates just don't always hit the open shots...But I gotta say I was very, very impressed with Steve's play!

Keep it up Steve. You are impressing me more and more!

You know how it works. Steve had five assists. Obviously, he didn't pass enough. End of discussion. On the other hand, against Seattle he had 9 assists. Obviously, in that case, numbers don't tell the whole story. No matter his assist total, he didn't pass enough.

We'll just have to accept the fact that Steve will get the blame for every loss this season. It's OK, though, just as long as he gets his props when due...

Francis is da man! He gets better every year, and if he improves anymore he will be the best player in the NBA. Francis is unstoppable, go Rockets!

Steve is playing phenominally well, he is working the ball around, and has seriously cut down on his rushed shots.

Steve Francis is finally earning the nickname FRANCHISE.

People should not worry about his assist stats, if he makes the first move or first pass and it gets the next guy a chance to make the assist that is as good as getting one himself.

Plus tonight he had 5 assists and 1 turnover.

5-1 assist to turnovers is a VERY fine ratio.

The FRANCHISE CONVERT line forms here.

The biggest improvement is definitely his jumpshot. They give him a lot of room so he doesn't blow by them and he is making them pay for it.

No. He passed the ball to *other* players that ended up with assist.

The assists can be done by individual or as a team.

KT, Mobes, Griff, Rice, Hawk all contributed to the assists, as a team.

    Ball movement will do that.

We ended up with 20 assist as a team.

    This is good.

I've said it before: Take Steve 5 years back in time and he's the best player in the league. The League has added tons of talent though, now you have McGrady, Garnet, Pierce, Kobe. But Steve is one of them for sure.

Steve to contend for the scoring title?? Why not. He has the ability to score on anyone at anytime. He can put up Iverson type numbers and I think this year he will actually do it.

I hope to hell he doesn't put up Iverson type numbers (39% shooting).

Dude is straight nasty, and if he continues this he should atleast be considered for MVP, he is that nice. I also like the way he focused more on his job instead of trying to rebound he really took charge tonight.

what really blows my mind is his shooting percentage. it is lower than most in the league. seriously, the rest of the league SUCKS bigtime in that catagory.

in 3 more years he will be better.....that is crazy!

I agree. I think Steve can actually become better (shot selectionb has improved, so has his jumper; he needs to just work on getting people involved whether the assits actually go up or not).

Even if he doesn't , if Rockets win (over .600) he will get the recognition.

He did pass the ball a lot tonight, it's just that the shot wouldn't fall or the player he passed to would put the ball on the floor (i.e. KT.)

I like what I'm seeing from him. If he averages at least over 6 assists a game and we're winning he can score as much as he wants. I just hope he continues to shoot well.
