Currently trying to work through the 3rd one. Has the spirit of the first but you can tell didn't have the budget.

    Devil

Surprisingly really good. Shyamalan is a good director when he's not full of himself. Some of the characters do stupid things and I'm sure others can see the twist coming a mile away. But still, it moves at a brisk pace and the confined space keeps the tension elevated throughout. Reminds me a bit of Phone Booth.

    7/10

    The help.

    7.5/10

Would have never seen it, if it wasn't due to my girl. Nonetheless, it was a decent flick.

It thought it was pretty entertaining
Shyamalan didn't direct it though, he just came up with the story

Fighter 8/10. I might even be tempted to say 9/10. Four great performances (Wahlberg, Bale, Adams, and Leo). Hard to believe the same actor in Batman plays in this one... he must have enjoyed the chance to to play (overplay?) the part (elastic facial expressions, mannerisms, and speech of Dickie Eckland). The supporting cast was excellent (where in the world did they get the sisters?). As with most sports and especially boxing movies, the action scenes were uneven, but the scenes with Shea Neary were surprisingly effective.

    30 Minutes or Less

The acting isn't the greatest and the plot can seem to drag out (even though the movie is short), but with these actors, who cares. If you're a fan of any of the 4 main characters, see it. (Especially if you like Danny McBride)

    8/10.

    Bridesmaids

It's easily the most funniest chick flick I've seen. Good story, too.

    8/10

The opening credits was brilliant and Ghost Face Killer strikes again but you wouldn't expect who is behind the mask..

cristiada - 7.5/10 - beginning of the film was way too unfocused but the rest turned out good would be rated higher if the beginning was redone

the help - 8.5/10 - enjoyed this more than i thought - the characters were great and i just like emma stone

crazy stupid love - 7.5/10 - another surprisingly good movie - it was kind of funny audience was laughing because the theater i was watching it in was the theater you can see in the background when they were shopping for new clothes and shoes.

Hall Pass - 2/10 - They didn't go for any subtle humor whatsoever, it was all over the top and terribly acted. It is what it looked like in the previews (which is why I skipped it at the theatre), but somehow it even failed to meet those low standards. A couple of chuckles, but not worth watching. Plus Jenna Fischer, who I usually find attractive in the girl next door kind of way, did not look good in the movie - looked like she had a bad fake tan.

Cedar Rapids - 2/10 - Pretty much everything I wrote about Hall Pass can apply to Cedar Rapids as well. It's like Ed Helms was trying to play Andy from 40-Year Old Virgin, but just went too far with it. John C. Reilly was too over the top - even by his standards. Even fewer laughs than Hall Pass. Pass on both of these films.

I will give Crazy, Stupid Love and Captain America 8/10. They were both very entertaining. Special effects in Captain America were amazing.

Crazy Stupid Love and Horrible Bosses both get 8 out of 10 for me. Not the greatest movies ever, but I laughed quite a bit during both. Recommend them both

Pretty crappy movie. Far too many plot holes and logic gaps

I'm gonna give 2 ratings for this. As a movie, I give it a 4/10. However, I don't regret watching it, since I watched it at work and free on netflix, so with that in mind, I'm gonna give it a 6.5/10. Way better than working.

    13 Assassins - 8.5

The story and characters are epic. the main villain is probably one of the most detestable, brutal, and downright sadistic mo-fos you will ever come across. i don't think i have ever felt that much hatred for a character. the second half of the movie is an all out battle in a small village. a lot of the reviews i've read praise it for its longevity but i felt it dragged on too long. the movie is available for streaming on netflix. put it in your queue now!

Your Highness - 3/10 -- if it wasnt for the natalie portman booty shot even less, but I wasnt expecting much from it

Priest - 4.5/10 -- had some decent action scenes but felt it was missing something.

Conan - 2.5/10 -- a lot of violent action but no real plot, terrible acting, terrible story so many holes and gaps and had nothing at all to do with the original and just used the franchise name to market a totally different thing.

man i saw a lot of crappy movies recently hopefully that changes next week
