My point was that there is no way that the Rockets are going to get Jamie Fieck or any free agent. I hate to break it to some of you, but there is a good chance that the Rockets--much like the Pacers recently--will simply allow their trade exception to run out. You see, if they just go out and get an average player with that exception, then the Rockets' cap room will be that much less next season. The "dumping" of Olajuwon's contract would then have little to no effect, leaving us with only maybe $3 mil or so under the cap. The Rockets' front office might just let it expire if they can't significantly improve the team. They would then wait a year to take a stab at a major free agent. ------------------
