Since they are doing the tribute at the half, I have to believe the whole halftime feature will be dedicated to it.
Did Drexler's 40 minute monoloque get aired? btw: Halftime is only 14 minutes. "My sources" tell me this is already logged in at 22 minutes, at shortest.
The organization got in a *lot* of trouble over the length of Drexler's ceremony. They cleared 22 minutes with the NBA this time around, and I'm sure they are making a significant effort to ensure it goes off in that amount of time (+/- a minute or two). Olajuwon is a man of few words, so I actually think it won't be too much of a problem, as long as they keep everyone else moving along.
We won't be cutting to features during the halftime ... we're just going to broadcast the ceremonies. We have a few tricks to work around in order to get the air time for commercials in, but we should be able to show most of it. Of course if you want to see all of it .... we'd love to see you all come out to the game. We're going to have a good crowd (tickets have moved well all week), but there are still seats left. Tim
Of course if you don't live in Houston, don't be surprised if it is not shown on League pass because the Rockets organization bungled the TV deal. DD
