Disappointing Fortune Cookie "fortune"

    Got "You are a man of remarkable talents... many of them unknown to the common person." in a fortune cookie one time...

    Why can't you tell me my fortune for my future, darn it!?!?!? :mad:

    Why can't it be:
    "if you approach GREEN consecutive red lights on your way home, turn left at the sixth and you'll find a pot of gold", or
    "Bet on the Tampa Buccaneers today, their opponent's quarterback will be injured just before the game", or
    "your boss will be in the office vary late tomorrow"?

    Why are Fortune Cookies not "Fortune", disappoint?

    What are some you've gotten from those little "fortune" papers? :grin:

    a friend of mine once got a fortune that said "you will get new clothes"


    My favorite "fortune" was "beware of cookies bearing fortunes"

    I've gotten the same one. Had it for a while before the ole' wallet was stolen. The fortune did end up coming true, that is if you count a new wallet as clothing.

    ok twice i have gotten fortune cookies that did not have a fortune in them and both times ended up in the hospital having an emergency surgery within 24 hrs. A couple months after the second time it happened got a cookie with no fortune freaked out and made them keep giving me cookies till i got one with a fortune

    I got one that said every journey begins with a single step. I was flying from Australia back to Los Angeles the next day. My "lucky numbers" were 4 8 15 16 23 42. :(

    I hate it when I get a "fortune cookie" that doesn't give you a "fortune" prediction, but rather makes some inane comment. Invariably, the tasty cookie outer layer is stale.
