LOL. "Astros telling teams that if they like their offer for Bourn, they will trade him to them"

The most we'd probably get as far as the "big four" goes would be Delgado (who probably would just come with a throw in player).

What's more realistic is getting a Carlos Perez/JJ Hoover and Salcedo/Pastornicky and Oberholtzer/Clemens.

Any one of those combinations would we a decent return on Bourn.

Worst case scenrio in a Bourn to ATL trade is Hoover/Pastornicky...good #3 or #4 or dominant closer type and everyday SS. That said, i'd be disappointed in that.

Rosenthal: Rival exec: Braves have 6 untouchables, not previously reported 4. Will make deal for Bourn tough. (paraphrasing that).

If that is the case, don't trade him there. Not worth it.

Teheran, Freeman, Minor, Vizcaino, Delgado, and Beachy probably.

What do you guys think about Drew Storen? Young closer seems to have a good arm. If the Nationals are interested in Bourn, should we work a deal around Storen?

Some no-name on Twitter claims that Bourn for Storen is "probable" now. http://twitter.com/#!/PGSportsCT

I doubt it's true, and I don't think I'd be on board, though I know little about Storen.

Yeah, that's where I got the idea from. I know they're interested in Span.

If the idea is to start bringing potential stars up around 2014 based on the Pence trade, I don't see the purpose of getting Storen. They already have Melancon, so closer is not a priority on the MLB club. And Storen will be approaching free agency when the team is ready to contend anyway. Why trade for an 8th inning reliever for a team that sucks?

I like it but need another prospect in the deal and Ian Desmond won't due. Storen is going to be a premier closer for a LONG time, although another reliever wouldn't go over well without a good prospect.

Melancon can be a set up guy. Soren has ace type stuff.

Bourn for Robbie Ray/Storen would get it done for me.

Great - you're adding an ace closer to a team that doesn't win any games anyway. And by the time they do, he'll be approaching free agency where he'll get overpaid as a closer. Again, what's the point?
