Yeah and its alot cheaper actully. You dont get ripped off with a service charge by those bastards at ticketmaster.
Here is the Hakeem poster that everyone gets at the Golden State game on Saturday. Rockets.com has a tribute section on the front page now. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/Hakeem_Olajuwon_Poster-57792-34.html Hakeem Olajuwon Poster This Saturday evening the Houston Rockets will raise No. 34 to the rafters of Compaq Center in honor of the greatest player in franchise history, Hakeem Olajuwon. To commemorate this momentous occasion, all fans in attendance will receive a FREE Hakeem Olajuwon collectible poster, which appears below.
I'm going to be there! I'm even taking my little cousin so 10 years from now he can say he was at Hakeem's retirement. Even if you aren't happy about the way Hakeem left us, he is still the greatest Rocket in the history of the franchise, and the reason we have two championship banners. If you are in Houston and a long time Rocket fan, I see no reason to miss this game! I'll be there in section 223, row H, seats 1 and 2, unless you guys don't show up, then I'll take some spot midcourt. B
I didnt even know they were retiring his number I thought he was just gonna announce his retirement saturday, Man I wanted to go but I dont think I could arrange everything in 2 days.
LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Im glad you got seats and your going to be there UTBaller, but I hope you cant move down.
this is a little off topic (sorry), but does anyone know if this website is going to have a olajuwon tribute section (maybe with some pics or some videos)? that would be great either way, does anyone know a good place to find a bunch of hakeem pics?
Bought a couple basketball tix last week to see this one, even if they're in the nosebleeds. First time ever attending a b-ball game (just couldn't miss this one).
what a coincidence, as i type this the mp3 i'm listening to is "Time to Say Goodbye". now the song seems even sadder. anyway, i'm sure this has been answered somewhere on here but i can't find it. when is the ceremony?? pre-game or halftime. and does anyone know if league pass would possibly show it if it was pre-game. hell, would they show it if it was halftime. i best get to see this damn thing. or will video clips of the whole thing be somewhere on the web?
Yup. It's at halftime. I'm sure there's going to be a big ovation when he enters the arena before the game, though ... he is scheduled to enter just before tipoff. He'll be sitting with Les. Tim
I'm on my way out the door right now. If you see a dorky white guy with shaggy brown hair in jean shorts and a 1989 NBA All-Star Game shirt, that's me. Feel free to say wuzup.
