    thecabbage: As usual, tremendous.

I really, REALLY like Nachbar. I am totally pulling for him and I think he will eventually be a very good player in this league.

I just think he's behind because of his injury. I could really see him pulling a Sam Cassell and starting to see playing time around the all star break. Right now, the team needs to find itself. They have to find chemistry and, by default, that needs to start with the guys who have proven themselves.

    Boki will get his chance.

it's nice to see a post from cabbage. he's one of the few posters that was around when i originally started posting here years ago (under a different name mind you).

back to the topic, i would personally like to see Boki get more mins. then he is. i understand that we're in a "win now" situation, but to see him behind Hawkins is kinda disappointing - especially w/ all the hype rudy was giving him.

    thacabbage's post is spot on...except:

I disagree with his feelings towards this team winning now, thus requiring it to play its "veteran players." As fans we all think the team should be winning now, and I'm sure Rudy and the players agree, but the reality of the situation is we are no closer to winning/playoffs/etc than we were two or three years ago, unless the ramblings of a crazy owner saying this is the greatest team ever assembled :) or the play on the court thus far convinces you otherwise.

Granted, Rudy knows far more about Boki's ability and the team dynamics than I, but I'm still not convinced the guy can't play. It appears he won't see much action this year with Rice, TMo, Hawkins, and KT ahead of him. Damn! I have an intuition that Boki is a player, and needs court time.

Also...Anyone want to name me the players that went on to be studs that didnt see any time their first years? Seriously. There may be exceptions (al la Jermaine O'Neal) but for the most part it does NOT happen. If Boki logs exactly 0 minutes in two games where the Rox had 0 healthy SF's whats going to get him into the lineup when Rice, KT, T MO are all healthy? Practice???? Please...never will this happen. Any really think Rudy is going to tap Boki on the shoulder come mid season and say "Kid, you have been practicing your butt off, Im putting you up over Rice, KT, T MO and Hawkins" And someone remind Rudy that the only reason Othella got his shot was out of sheer necessity.

Should the Wolves of waited on Garnett?
    The Lakers on Kobe?
    The Grizz on Pau?
Should we of waited on Francis?

Granted those are special players, but Anyone drafted number one (switch to MING) should not be seeing an average of 12 minutes a night, their first year, and we definately should at very least figure some way to include him in the offense.

Rudy please please please, find a way to include the young guys just a tad.

How do you earn when your job is to sit on the bench the ENTIRE GAME.

Then just who exactly is going to provide the shutdown D that we need so desperately..?

I can accept a non-shooting SG/SF if he can provide the type of defense we need. Afterall, dont Cat and Steve score enough for you?they score enough to make up for Hawk.
