Why is it that we assume the jets and niners are making a strong push when nobody from either organization has said anything? This has all been the media. If the media is throwing the texans into the mix, then we should assume they are making a push...just like we make that assumption with the other organizations. We've been mentioned constantly...at this point of the process, if we weren't making a run for Aso, then it would be known.
Are you just now seeing this? McClain has been reciting the Texans' company line VERBATIM for years now. Just go back 6 months and look at all of the BS he put out about Wade Phillips. For the record, I never bought into the whole Asomugha deal anyway. It struck me as the Texans' version of "Houston For Bosh" - something nice to keep all of the fanboys happy but about as realistic as McNair finally getting a clue on how to build a successful football operation.
Yeah now that I'm hearing the Jets are focusing on Moss it's making me feel a little better about our chances
of course they didn't because everyone here has the texans' phones and e-mails tapped. anytime a player signs somewhere else, it's because rick smith and company were doing blow off of the season ticket holders' checks.
i do it, too...and i don't even think about it. it's how i identify myself as a football fan, without giving it even a thought.
funny how it's "we" when we fans are wanting something for the Texans, and "they" when we're calling the FO "stupid" or "idiots".
FUUU....Weddell and Mikell off the board. So much for having a top flight safety. At least Weddell didn't go to the Jags though.
hey, speak for yourself! http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6243843&postcount=2083 if we didn't have the worst secondary in the history of pro football, i can nearly guarantee you a 2nd receiver would be a priority. someone else as a threat and to stretch the field would be absolutely ridiculous. but...we've allowed the defense to get to the point where every draft pick and every free agent acquisition has to be about addressing it.
