got a paper due tommorw when i try to dype on a blank word document i get the message This command is not available because the document is locked for edit.. if anyone knows how to fix this please tell me how thanks
make sure you don't have 2 copies of the file open. When it is locked for editing that means the file is open somewhere else. It happens a lot at work when I am working on a file at my desk. I occasionally leave it open then I go to a different workstation and try to open it there. THat is the error you get. CK
