Since I 'know' that LAL, Sac, Dallas, and SA are 'locks' for the four top seeds, and Denver is the only absolutelypositivelynoway into the palyoffs, here is the updated standings (remember only the Top Four participate): Seattle 4-1 Minnesota 3-2 Houston 2-2 Portland 2-3 Phoenix 2-3 LA Clippers 1-3 Golden State 1-4 Utah 1-4 Memphis 0-5
Thanks for the info. here's what I believe will help us get to the playoffs. A Teams - Lakers, kings, Mavs, Spurs B Teams - Blazers, Wolves, Sonics, Suns, Clippers, warriers, jazz, In the remaining games, 1. The A teams in WC should win each of their games against B Teams. It doesn't matter what happens between A teams. 2. The B teams should split all their games between themselves, unless the bottom 1 -2 teams (between Warriers, Jazz, Suns) really suck this year. 3. Each of the A and B teams should lose to as many Eastern Conference Team as possible 4. At home, Rockets must win against all B Teams, as well as 2/3rd games versus Eastern Conference. Rockets must split at home versus A Teams. On road, Rockets must also split against the B teams and 1/3rd with A teams and eastern Conference. If we do these we will be there............(Please, please boys remember Pass to open man, take high percentage shots, and play solid defense)
Wow, were in the 7th seed! By looks of this site as of late, I thoight were 2-15 and out of the playoff hunt already. timm, good analysis of what the Rocks have to do. I really don't think that the Warriors, Jazz, adn Suns can hang for all 82 so it will be between us, the TWolves, the Blazers, and the Clippers which almost assures us of a playoff unless things go horribly wrong in the next 78 games.
The Jazz always find a way, KG is, well, KG, we just saw the Sonics, The Clips? Scary talent, scarier ownership, Starbury is amazing (scary good, scary wierd)...That's at least five + Rox for four places. I'm keeping tabs on the 'B' teams, rooting for The Top 4 known seeds + Denver + the East v any realistic playoff competition.
Injuries, true. And look at last year's Bucks. But -- the Kings? Even if they lose C-Webb to the grand jury they'll not lose out on a Top 4 seeding...
I agree with xiki, the Kings are deep enough where they can win games without some of their key players. They just need everyone healthy come playoff time. Until then, they will still win enough games to be a top 4 seed.
LOL..Lock for? I hope for playoffs.......but we have some work to do (namely pass, score and defend!!)
What is going on with the Clippers? I don't get how ESPN predcited them to be 5th in the West. They aren't a good team.
tru that. but wait till they get ODOm bak, and get their rotation fixed up, they gunna beast, coz OLOWAKAINDI is already tearin it up. and Dre is as good as advertised and Brand and ODom always be holdin it down so i wouldnt count them out just yet
