Basketball is my job. I have to play somewhere... I will more likely go to China than Europe. It is a more open market with more potential and the country appeals to me. " "I look at the Shanghai Sharks because Yao Ming is the owner. But he says I'm too expensive."
Hey Yao! Offer Luis a reduced salary from what he's asking for as well as free room and board at your place!
The Chinese league is so dorky. They are years behind in their understanding of the game. I was watching highlights of Stephon Marbury when he played over there. (maybe he still does, I don't know). The stadium sound system played loud beat music to accompany him dribbling down the court. Then when he shot and hit a long 3, the whole stadium erupted. It was more like a weird exhibition than serious basketball.
They may think some of the things happen during our game are dorky too. Sociologist calls such behavior cultural difference.
