Salaries don't match, those are both Max Level players.

Do we get them in their prime or how they were when they played for the Rockets?

For example, after Hakeem, I'd have a hard time choosing.

Do I get Clyde Drexler in his prime, or the twiligth Clyde that joined the Rockets?
Do I get T-Mac in his prime, or the bad back/knees T-Mac?

I think I take 93-94 Hakeem and 02-03 McGrady (he was dominating the league that year).

This was hard because the 87-88 Drexler would be pretty strong, as well as an early 90s Barkley or a mid 80s Moses.

Hakeem in his prime, and 04-05 TMac.

Rick Barry and Hakeem would be madness on the current roster

Can you imagine the offensive efficiency of Kevin Martin AND Rick Barry?

Honestly though, Hakeem and Moses is impossible to pass up.

i hate that I'm the first person to mention this guy, but give me the big E and Malone and I'd run rough shot over today's NBA.

If you added Dream and Moses to this current roster, we'd win it all ... no comparison to any other combo of players, IMHO.

    Malone
    Dream
    Budinger
    Martin
    Lowry

but, then, I'd bring back Battier as a FA ... :)

All superstars usually dont win championship. This team is solid on Off n Def. and in their prime this team has championship written all over.

    Hakeem (No brainer)
Scola (Toughness and non-injury prone, Off.)
Battier (Yes Battier, his stats does not give him justice, Defense, 3-point threat, toughness)
Tmac (In his prime, simple unstoppable, offense, above average defense, great passer and playmaker)
    Lowry (Toughness, playmaker, hustle)

This team is a combination of superstars with great role players.

Serge Zwikker aka "Zwikk the Quick". It's a shame he never got to play a single minute for us. This guy was supposed to be Dirk before Dirk. On our current roster he would solve a lot of our big man problems towering in at 7 feet 3 inches tall. He could hit the mid range jumper and had a soft stroke. Most importantly he came from a winning program. Many scouts said he was slow and couldn't run the floor in college. Little did they know he was conserving all of his energy to unleash his fury in the NBA.

Chris Jent- Some guys have it and some guys don't... a combination of Skill and luck that is. He played in only 3 games during the regular season but he was called upon during the glorious championship run. In the 11 games he played in the playoffs he averaged a whopping 1.2 points per game, 0.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game in just 5.6 mpg. Imagine if he played all 48 minutes plus like 3 overtimes each game... he'd end up with a typical Jason Kidd type of triple-double. Amazing!

We certainly couldn't have won our first ring without his valuable contributions. He was quite the specimen at 6'7 220 he was able to play both SG and SF positions. He was like Clyde Drexler before we got Clyde a year later. Many people may say we replaced Mad Max with Clyde Drexler but I think the only reason we got Clyde was because we lost Jent. His championship experience alone would do wonders for this current squad.

your lineup makes me want to puke. Francis in that offense would ensure that Martin would never be able to do anything but shoot standing 25 footers. It's funny how taking Francis out of there and plugging Lowry in would make it seem like such a better-functioning offense

(not trying to insinuate Lowry is more talented)

    Hmmm... *looks to the rafters*

    PG: Calvin Murphy
    SG: Clyde Drexler
    SF: Rudy Tomjanovich
    PF: Moses Malone
    C: Hakeem Olajuwon

I can't believe nobody in this thread has done this yet. Maybe it was TOO obvious.
