thanks mathloom....when i confronted her, she broke down and started crying and said it started at a really early age and now that she's older its more about her job (she makes less than she said), what her degree was (liberal arts vs civil engineering)....she's a nice girl, just lies alot, but her personality is great and she's a sweet person. When I gave her the chance to talk she said it's been going on her whole life and she's always been to scared of therapy and its affected her friendship and relationships......I want to help her since she asked but am I wasting my time, is it really a mental thing that will never go away or can it be cured.....money is no object as far as treatment goes

I'm surprised you posted that video, considering your obsession with Helen Keller.

    Funny though. Funny.

She's probably lieing about wanting to get professional help to buy some time. I'd say you're probably better off walknig away, but if you're going to attempt to stick it out, you need to (1) hold her diligently to her promises about professional therapy, and (2) have a frank discussion about groundrules for the relationship going forward since you obviously shouldn't trust her. You're running a significant personal risk, so she should understand you need to do some things to safe-guard yourself.

I can't be the first person to think this, but I guess I'll be the first to bring it up.

I'd bet money she's cheated on you by lying to another guy about being single, or worse yet, you're a POS and she needs someone else.

I wasn't in a relationship with someone who felt the need to lie about EVERYTHING, but I know someone. We're talking about her taking a week off to go to her mom's funeral, when her mom wasn't even dead, going to UT when she barely made it though high school, being attacked after work and a guy getting in her car and making her drive him somewhere and he robbed her. No police were called and she didn't know what he looked like or what happened after he left even though he wasn't wearing a mask and this all happened in a well lit area with people around. Constant stories of guys who call her all the time and want her, but when it comes down to it, there's not a guy I know in our area who pays her any attention.

They do it strictly for attention, and it's real pathetic is you just have to listen to what they're saying and it's too obvious they're full of it. There's almost no chance she hasn't done something/been in a situation she shouldn't have been, without you knowing. And there's almost no way you will ever know.

Back when I was younger I would have felt bad for her and who knows what... now I'd stop answering her calls and disappear.

Of course it is. I've dated several women with mental health disorders. It's not easy but if you love her it can definitely be managed, as long as she is willing to get help.

    Like Bob Marley said:

"The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for."

Does every person that tells a lie have a mental disorder? What is she lying about, and why did she feel a need to lie? People who have things to hide lie all the time, but I don't see that as a mental problem.

If she is hot, hit it one more time, and QUIT it ASAP.

Get the F away from her!

Now she has an out. If she ever gets caught lying again, she can just blame it on her "disorder." And then, if you complain, you're an uncaring person.

    Just leave.

As the hotness goes up, as does the crazy. If she's not hot enough for as crazy as she is, dump her.

Lying is not a mental disorder, she just told you that so she could tell you more lies and get away with it.
