I'll admit that I was a bandwagoner during the 94 season. I heard about the heartbreaking playoffs the year before. And I heard about our 15 game win streak before falling to Atlanta. I was around twelve then.

Besides Dream, I rooted for Mad Max because he was one bad muthaf*cka.

I moved houses at that time, from Missouri City to Sugar Land, but I still remember wondering why OJ had such bad timing and why 3 or 4 different helicopters had to follow a stupid low speed chase.

The next season really connected to me. Watching the injuries where hope was something called 34 and the occasional Kenny 3. It was amazing how Rudy rolled up his sleave, pulled up some players you'd think you could find at the Y and make them play. It's too bad I think differently about Rudy's system now...

After moving to Southern California, I still watched whenever I could, and by then it hit me. These guys have the same essense of their championship seasons. They might not be the most prepared or talented guys, but they work their hearts out in the game. They have that "procrastinator's confidence" of believing they can pull out of any situation no matter how deep they're in. Players come and go, but Rudy ball is something you have to believe. For better or worse, that quality really related to me. But it makes me believe in the Rockets, like I want to believe in myself. And it frustrates me to new ends of their potential or their heartbreakers, because I can feel that myself. And when they do win it all, maybe I can feel that in myself as well.

I think basketball is a great sport and I support my home team.

In 94, I was at home watching the game with my family. After the win, we drove around Houston while the whole city celebrated.

In 95, it was the summer before my 7th grade year and I was at my school for a summer try out session where the teachers evaluate students and pick a new class for the 7th grade. Obviously I got in since I call it my school. I had to watch the game on an old big screen tv with horrible reception. I just remember how happy everybody was after the win and seeing people shooting off fireworks in the surrounding neighborhoods.

I am from San Antonio and beacme an Oiler fan when they became the 1st AFL team in Texas,...then adopted the Rockets when they beacme the 1st NBA team in Texas. I lived in Houston from 1980 to 1996 so I was lucky enough to see all the finals game and the championship runs...

I am from Richmond ,tx. I first became a rockets Fan in 1986 When Akeem and Ralph Sampson were tearing up everything inside the lane. I have seen the ups and downs of the rockets and I remember when Hakeem had gotten that blood clot in his right leg and was out for like a month but the one thing i remember most about the 94 or 95 championship was the Way Hakeem destroyed David Robinson the Night He received the MVP trophy and Also, Do you guys remember when they Cut in the Rockets game because of the O. J. Simpson chase in California, I do.

I'm from China. During the championship years, I wasn't in Houston but I watched those games and loved Hakeem.

I became a Rockets fan because I now lives in Houston and the Rockets games are the only games I can regularly watch without calbe TV.

I was in HS in Htown during our championship runs and remember them like they were yesterday. I remember 75% of the "fans" jumping ship after we went down 0-2 to the Suns in 94 and then jumping right back on the bandwagon after we went in to Pho. and blasted them a couple of times. I remember being so nervous that I could barely watch game 7 v. the Knicks and jumping around like a wild man(kid) after the final buzzer and our squad became World Champs. I also remember our team straigh steam rolling the Magic in the 95 Finals after Brick Anderson's chocke job and the clutch 3 by the jet won us game 1.

I'm a Rocks fan b/c we've always have not such much great players but great people who really like being a part of the orginization. From Calvin Murphy to Hakeem to even Cuttino Mobley (yes the Cat!), we've attracted players who come here and stay here. I know that there is a lot of negativity going around the BBS concerning the Rocks of late but I LOVE this team and the players on this team and I have complete faith that this group of players can take us to the level the 93-94 & the 94-94 Rockets took us almost a decade ago (damn I'm getting old). Just check out the sig.

I'll make it simple. The Rockets kick @$$! The fans kick @$$ too. Heck there isn't any other team that has an awesome site like this. We also have more drama on our team than probably most teams do. We laugh, cry and party with the team. We brought home 2 rings already, and I know we're going to bring a heck of alot more. Go ROCKETS! No matter where you're from if the rockets are your team and live off this site, then this is your home and you're rooting for the home team!

Heh, I remember that. I was at UT in the mid-90s and it drove me crazy that I was about 3 hours away from Houston and yet still couldn't watch the games. I had a lot of buddies from San Antonio and Houston, so we always used to get into heated arguments about the teams, especially when the trashtalking Spurs fans brought up their 60+ win season and 5-1 record against the Rockets. Kind of fortunate that the WCF in 95 took place while we were all out of classes and back home because there might have been a brawl if we'd all watched that series together :)

But anyway, the reason I like the Rockets is that I'm from Houston. I was living in Virginia during the 80s and early 90s, so I missed seeing a lot of games but I watched them whenever I could and did attend a couple of Bullets games up here when the Rockets came to town. I remember one game in which Hakeem, OT, and, er, Buck Johnson put on a dunking exhibition in one blowout win. I ended up moving back to Houston in summer 1993, right in time to see them start their first championship season. Of course now I'm back in VA so it's like I'm back where I was during the 80s, only getting to see maybe a tiny handful of Rockets games per season. Maybe I'll move back to Texas soon just so I can see them some more :)
