I'm craving Japanese food something fierce. Does anyone know of a Japanese restaurant with good onigiri and ramen?
Onigiri? In Houston? I never saw anywhere in Houston where they sold onigiri. Tokyo Bowl in Clear Lake and Ginza in the Galleria were my favorites, but I haven't been in Houston for about 4 years now.
Sush Jin on the westside isn't too bad. I haven't had their onigiri. As far as Ramen goes....I haven't had a really good one in Houston.
I can't tell you if it's any good or if they serve what you're looking for but Jonny Flynn went to Benihana with DeAndre Jordan the other day.
lol. I feel that everyone needs to have the following things at least once in their lives: Good barbacoa Good ramen Good cheesesteaks Good banh mi
In the United States, I've never seen a good ramen place outside of California. But you can get the ingredients to make your own cheaply, and while it takes a while, it's better than instant.
I watched eng dubbed Korean shows, and they always drool over 'ramen' like we drool over pizza or something... and I never understood why... but I guess there are good ramen places eh?
Depends on what you're in the mood for. I want tonkotsu, and I have no IDEA where to find it in Houston.
Nippon on Montrose has what you're looking for, I usually go there when I want Japanese food. Pretty good food although never had their ramen, onigiri is on point though. http://www.yelp.com/biz/nippon-japanese-restaurant-houston
in Korea all ramen is instant Korean ramen. I havent had decent tonkotsu ramen outside of Japan except 1 place in downtown L.A. (but none of the staff speaks English). Heard there are some in Manhattan.
Had one in Manhattan. My bro took me, and it was amazing. Don't remember what it was called though. Tiny place, but really nice.
