Why did we waste a #15 pick on him???? I thought he was NBA-ready?? Hes playing 0 minutes right now! Right now Ryan Humphrey looks better than him!!!!!! argh
Historically, you're lucky if you get a decent role player at pick 15, much less a starter from day one. And if you want to compare rookies after one week, Jason Collier in 2000 arguably looked better than Kwame Brown last year.
I dont think he is a starter yet, I think he should come off the bench until he proves he is a starter. He hasnt proved it yet so let him ride the pin baby... LOL! Either way I dont think the coaches said that he wa ready to start I just think fans said he was ready to start... Correct me if Im wrong, it does kinda bother me that he gets no PT. But when he is in, I have seen him put up several bricks... Eitherway would you have taken him at 15? I wasnt convinced he was worth #15... Just my opinion though hope he proves me wrong...
Compared to everyone else picked after him, so far no one looks like they would have been a better pick except for maybe Caron Butler.
Caron was drafted way ahead of him. Believe me, if Caron was available at 15, we would have drafted him.
Nachbar should be playing at least 20-25 minutes a game. A decent outside threat is sorely needed. The way Stevie drives the lane Nachbar would get plenty of open looks. Hawkins deserves the other 20-25 minutes cuz of his D <but he can't shoot>. Once Mo comes back, Nachbar & Hawkins' minutes would be cut in half <Griff & Mo get the bulk of the mins>. By the trade deadline, either Taylor or Thomas should be gone to clear up some minutes for Boki. All he needs is a little time and a better head coach <BILL WALTON>!!!! SAY WORD! WALTON IN '03
Dude how can you say that when he hasnt proved he is worth those type of minutes. I dont like MoT much and I think KT is okay but I wouldnt let either go for someone unproven what sense does that make????
Thought I read that he looked a little gimpy after going to the rack a couple games back? Maybe he reaggravated his injury and is getting time to let it heal.
When 2 of our starting 5 is averaging 6 points (combined), something isn't right. Hawkins D is pretty good, but I think he could be a good spark off the bench.
So far Boki hasn't shown he has the skill to start yet. Let him come off the bench for now, playing a little less than 15 minutes a game. I wouldn't mind starting Hawkins, we sorely need his consistent defense, as well his scrappiness. Hope TMo comes back soon, with KT being a bit off right now, we really need him.
If we wanted a project for our 15th pick, wouldn't we have been better off with a guy like Qyntel Woods? He has all the athleticism and only needs to develop skills, exactly what a project is supposed to be.
how can he prove he deserved the minutes if they don't let him play. taylor and thomas are just in the way. francis and mobley are gonna get theirs, let griff and boki mesh. WALTON IN '03!!!!! SAY WORD
